Soo... Seemed more like a session ale. Nothing overpowering. Nothing blew me away. Nice little spicy, little citrus hops flavor. Bit of a bitterness in the after taste. Overall, kind of a hanging out all day type of sippin' brew.

From the 12 beers of Xmas mixer, kept in cold storage since purchase.
12oz can. Hopped with Azacca, Idaho 7, Centennial . 5.5% ABV.

Pours out to a hazy sun kissed peach, forming a large off white head with very good retention and solid sheets of lacing. Nice looking beer. Lots of flittering bits. Medium-brisk carbonation, ~3.0 carbs. The nose is great...pine and mango on top of a delicate husky malt with muscat grape. Mouthfeel is prickly, medium-light bodied, nice clean dry finish. The taste is very good as well...a ton of pine and mango hop flavor which is expertly balanced with the bitterness and some delicate saltine cracker. No off flavors or aromas. Well balanced acidity and easy to drink.

This one's a winner. Really like this pale ale and I would buy it again. Recommended.

From the can, it pours a slightly hazy light amber color with a modest white head that slowly reduces. The nose gets a dose of fruit, primarily citrus, over malt. The taste follows the nose with a pleasant light taste of malt with notes of citrus and a light bitterness.

Note: from the 12 Beers of Christmas pack and beyond the "best before" date.

12oz can, wine glass, best by 1/31/23.

The pour was very pretty and settled into medium to heavy hazed gold with a medium pillowy head.

Big stone fruit and, for maybe the first time, I’m getting the gasoline soaked grapes aroma. Orange and grapefruit zest.

The flavor is unfortunately tepid compared to the vigorous and fruity aroma. Echoes of citrus zest, unripe stone fruit, and very light malt body.

The body is moderate with light carbonation.

This is a pale ale version of a hazy IPA, it’s a light one. The aroma is really nice and it lacks one of my least favorite characteristics of hazy IPAs, the often obnoxious alcohol.

Trying this one out from the Christmas Twelve Pack. A nice crisp hoppy ale with a beautiful color. A pleasant addition to the variety of the sampler pack!

From a 12oz can, best by 01/31/23. From the 12 Beers of Christmas holiday variety pack. Served in a willi becher.

Pours a lightly hazed, cheerful sunshiney gold with two fingers of foam. Retention is very good, leaving a bubbly cap and wads of weak lacing.

Nose is biscuity and vaguely fruity. Aromas of pineapple, biscuit, peach jam.

Taste is dry and biscuity. Baking soda biscuit, berries, the rinse water from washing your fruit, aspirin.

Feel is clean and crisp, medium-light bodied and brightly carbonated. Easy drinker - spot-on relative to the style.

Overall, a well-made, enjoyable pale, pretty much everything I expect and desire from the style. I wouldn’t mind having a sixer of this in the fridge.

Also, ‘Sometimes you take your pet tardigrade, Chester, for a hoverboard-assisted walk through the jungles of planet Narxiol…’ is one of the most gratuitously stupid and useless things I’ve seen printed on a beer can and, let me tell you, I’ve been around.

Baked Goods Pale Ale American

Clown Shoes

Super duper crisp and balanced. Piney, slightly fruity, peppery hops keeps it interesting. The light golden malty backbone holds it all down and is pretty complex on its own. Easy, but very interesting with an easy hop kick.

This is from the "12 Beers of Christmas" pack.
From the bottom of the can: "Best By 01/31/2" then a "3" on the ledge and below that "251 10:25"

Appearance: The body is gold colored and it has a medium haze. There is a very thick, dense, white head that is medium in size. It has excellent head retention and lacing.

Aroma: There is a light mango aroma with a hint of pineapple. There is a bit of a rye bread scent too. The aroma is pretty mellow but it smells good.

Taste: Peach and mango come through up front. Towards the middle of the mouth there is some grain flavor and a touch of pine. Peach on the finish.

Mouthfeel: The body feels light and it has a wet finish. Feels a touch watered down. Carbonation is good and it has a very nice mellow hop bitterness. It is enjoyable to drink.

Overall: It is an enjoyable beer with some good flavors. It mostly has this peach character which is nice and is the highlight of the beer. This would be a good beer to enjoy on a picnic or on a nice spring or summer day. I could drink it from time to time. Although this was offered in a Christmas variety pack I will look for this again when the weather gets warmer. It's worth trying at least a single.

Part of the Clown Shoes 12 Beers of Christmas Mixed Pack - $25.99 at Bullock's Wine & Spirits in Marietta, Georgia.

Appearance: Pours a fairly clear, yellow-hued body with an inch of white froth.

Smell: A light, lightly bready pale maltiness with crisp golden wheatiness. Tropical citruses, red berries, mango and pineapple with a rapacious piney accent.

Taste: Crisp, crustless breadiness with a few small blips of sugar cookie sweetness. Floral, grassy and scantly resiny amidst the tropical, citrusy fruit flavors. Subdued bitterness, though its sustained through the dry finish.

Mouthfeel: Medium-light body. Medium carbonation.

Overall: Decent enough for an easy-drinking contemporary pale ale.
