A thanks to the commander of the canquest, woodychandler, for this beer. Poured from a 16 oz. can. Has a black color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is of chocolate, coffee. Taste is the same as the aroma, some lactose and roasted malts are present. Feels medium.full bodied in the mouth and overall is an enjoyable beer.

This is the kickoff of my New "Don't Call Me a 'Clown' Until You've Drank a CAN of Beer in My Shoes" Beer Sunday (Week 736) & naturally, it involves The CANQuest (tm).
From the CAN: "Our Mission: To Produce Beer without Pretension while Being Free and a Little Crazy"; "Milk Stout brewed with Vietnamese dark roast coffee".
The Crack! seemed especially loud this morning, perhaps because the house seems unusually quiet. I do not have the television on & only the hum of the reefer breaks the silence. I went with a reasonable Glug only to watch as it performed a pseudo-cascade that formed just under two fingers of foamy, rocky, deep-tan/light-brown head with modest retention. Color was Black/Opaque (SRM = 44), allowing ZERO light penetration. Nose had a definite roastiness, more bitter than sweet, very much of dark-roasted coffee. Mouthfeel was full & creamy. I let the beer kind of roll around on my tongue to better experience its flavors. It was not as bitter as the nose had led me to expect. Instead, it had a soft, chocolaty sweetness to round the sharp, bitter edges imparted by the coffee. It was very easy-drinking & soon, I had drank off well over half of it without a seCANd thought! Finish was semi-sweet, apropos since it was as Milk/Sweet Stout at its base. I liked it well enough as an acCANpaniment to my morning coffee, but I am unsure as to how it would fare later in the day. YMMV.

The beer pours a nice brown head that dissipates quickly. The beer itself is a dark coffee black that looks pretty nice. IT has a slight sheen to it like it's melted chocolate. It looks nice.
The smell is good. It has a nice contrast between the milk stout notes and the dark coffee notes.
The taste is good. It has a nice roasted note that mixes well with the creamier chocolate notes.
The feel is good. It has a light and creamy body.
Overall, pretty good and I wouldn't mind a second.

Looks and smells great - coffee, roasted malt, cocoa and sweetness. Taste is super light for 7% with rounded flavors. Sweetness picks up

Good milk stout!!! Pours a dense black color with a big, very dark tan head. Head retention is very good and there is some light lacing on the pint glass. Aroma includes lactose and coffee with a little chocolate and roasted malt. Taste is more of the same, lactose, coffee are the dominant flavors with an overall slight sweetness. Mouthfeel is rich, smooth and somewhat sweet. I had this beer with a steak dinner and it was a great pairing. I would drink this beer again.
