Notes: Hazy IPA Infused with Terpene. Azacca, Citra, and Mosaic Hops, Beta-Pinene and Linalool Terpenes (naturally derived from botanical sources), 2-Row, Golden Promise, Wheat, Oat, and Honey Malt.

From mythic hammer-wielding beasts to intergalactic agriculturists, here at Clown Shoes we think about some crazy stuff. But even we can barely comprehend the natural wonder of a big, beautiful rainbow. We will forever remain in awe of those massive swaths of vibrant color that stretch forever into the horizon.

This Hazy IPA contains the terpenes Beta-Pinene and Linalool, aromatic compounds derived from natural botanical sources. They supplement the sweet malt backbone and lively blend of Azacca, Citra, and Mosaic hops that make Rainbows Are Real shine with fresh, juicy notes of sweet citrus.

16oz canned on 05/25/2020. Sample from the brewery. Hazy IPA Infused with Terpene. Azacca, Citra, and Mosaic Hops, Beta-Pinene and Linalool Terpenes (naturally derived from botanical sources), 2-Row, Golden Promise, Wheat, Oat, and Honey Malt.

Hazy peach, near opaque, with a fluffy head and decent lacing. Nose if full of sweet herbs, soft grains, floral, hints of citrus, and suggestions of stone fruits. Mouthfeel is soft, body is light, slight chewiness, and a nice carbonation bite. Fruity upfront with ripe tropical fruits, some grapefruit, rind, apple, fleshy peach, and sweet orange. Berry esters. Quite juicy, too. Bready malt backbone with some honey and biscuit. And there's an underlying resiny stick that rides into the finish with herbal tea, spicy, piney and woody notes.

I'll be burping rainbow terpenes for hours.

Hazy golden color. Served in a can from the brewery biergarten.

Weedy and spicy hop nose. There's a touch of flowers in the background.

The beginning sip features a peppered flavored malt. Round, full body with enough carbonation to cut it. The finish is all bittering hop with a drying effect on the tongue. The aftertaste lasts a while with more balance than expected.

16oz tallboy can, media sample from the brewery.

Slightly hazy golden amber hued brew, great looking head and drops lacing down the glass. Citrus, herbal, grassy, & nectarine in the nose. Juicy with a slightly creamy mouthfeel, medium amount of bitterness sits on the palate for balance. There is a slight weed-ish character from the terpenes, good malt backbone with an amped up hop character. Love the smoothness, easy drinking a loaded with flavor. A fun beer to knock back.
