Yucca tap room started out as a venue/day bar for old lackies...
It housed a stage that has been utilized by every sprouting band in tempe and is still drafted by the heavies if they want a great show with a great vibe.
Along the way they incorporated a tap, even though it was named yucca tap room, they acquired it later. Once the tap arrived they through some stone IPA in there, enough to keep me good. I believe this is when they realized that hipsters don't just want to drink pbr, but they also love fine craft beer.
Yucca then incorporated a next door room and added it onto there already bustling establishment. In this addition is where the magic went.
They smartened up and added a large tap visited by local fav's, american craft greats and up and comers and some import goodness. They then built a nice sized cooler with some nice delectables in it from belgium and germany and from america's finest.
After that they addes some pool tables and bam... beer lovers heaven. There's a door between this adjacent "tap room" and the o.g. yucca with the stage, so you can dip out of the noise and enjoy some dank beer.

This place is what it is. I am only going to comment on the good beer side and not the bad beer/extremely loud music side. The good beer side has a good selection of taps and bottles for a hole in the wall bar. Horrible food. Two pool tables. The thing that gets me the most is that you have good beer but you either a horrible draft system or horrible glassware cleaning or both. No head, no carbonation, no Belgian lacing on glasses on any draft beer. Best bet is to stick to bottles. Park in back.

Live music venue that recently added a taproom. Before, I thought it was a travesty that they called themselves Yucca 'Taproom' but now they actually live up to their name. Their taproom serves multiple gems on tap, plus have a few refrigerators holding their bottles.
Decent selection, for sure above par. However, I feel that they should offer more Trappist selections. Other than their thin Trappist selection, this place it well worth a visit.
Only had a pizza here once and it was actually really good.
Good vibe here; if you want music and crowds, go to their main area. If you want more peace, hit up the taproom. Win-win!
