Another little German Village hang out. Located on Whittier about half way between the Giant Eagle/Barcelona and Village Coney/Skillet. It could probably fit into the dive bar category but its nicely renovated inside and out. A few booths along the wall and a long bar that runs parallel them.

Atmosphere is nice for the most part. Some things are slightly odd and really give it that dive feel. Sometimes one or two of the booths will just have paperwork, boxes and other supplies piled on them. One corner strangely has a home office looking set up with files, a computer and desk chair. Its out of the way so it doesnt cause any comfort issues. It just seems out of place and is worth noting here. The back half is not renovated like the front half. It sort of splits the bar in two. The back half is where the pool table and darts and things are.

As far as I can tell theres really only bartender who ever works. He is quite nice and has his hectic organization techniques. Make sure you keep track of the drinks you have ordered yourself.

The selection is small but slightly above average. Always some Great Lakes and CBC, sometimes Rogue, Sierra Nevada, DFH, Bell's. Basically Columbus's usual stuff. I have had a limited Columbus Brewing Barleywine on tap here last winter so they will occasionally have some CBC one-offs.

Price is reasonable but a $1 charge is added to each credit card bill.

The only food they have is sauerkraut balls which are quite good.

This is a decent place to stop into for a quick relaxing beer for those who live in or around German Village.
