Pours a hazy pale straw yellow with a tight white head. The nose is huge, yeast all over the place, spicy pepper, corriander, very tart lemon, light banana. The taste is a little sweeter than the nose. Still spicy yeast and very tart lemon. Banana is light with a sugary candy note to it. Light body, airy, soft with great carbonation and clean crisp finish.

Bottle at Strijdershuis, near the marketplace in Bruges.
A: Chestnut colored with a large tan head that settles slowly to reveal good lacing.
S: Aroma of scotch and malt with a background hint of spice.
T: Flavor begins with the malt and spice, then progresses to a sort of butterscotch, then a slightly bitter and dry finish. Nicely complex and interesting.
M: Decent enough body, a little light for the style.
D: Nice addition to the varied and interesting Strubbe range.

Hoeve Bier - Biere de Ferma, not sure where the 'for Pee Klak, Gijzejem' comes from. This bottle was bought at the Noel Cuvelier farm/beershop in Abele near Poperinge.

Cork and caged 0.75 litre green bottle, poured into four tulip glasses in one single pour.

Almost clear amber in colour and looks, a small white head sat on top of the body.

The aroma was of Belgian yeasts and hops.

Hop bitterness and bite in the taste followed by a sweetness in the aftertaste.

Very drinkable, the 6.5% sat well within the brew and it just felt right and correct.
