Sampled from 12oz bottle - 6/8/2010.
Pours a slightly hazy pale gold with plenty of carbonation & a nice white head. Snappy pilsner-esque aroma with a hint of lemon zest on the nose. Crisp in flavor, grassy with glimpses of apple and lemon. Refreshing, with a nice dry finish.

Good beer with a light lunch as it doesn't take away from the food, nor add to it either. Very drinkable in quantities.

12 ounce bottle into tulip glass, bottled on 3/20/2013. Pours fairly crystal clear deep golden color with a 3 finger fairly dense and fluffy white head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Dense foamy lacing clings around the glass, with a large amount of streaming carbonation retaining the head. Aromas of lemon, apricot, pear, apple, white grape, pepper, clove, wheat, cracker, bread, light honey, herbal, grass, and herbal/yeast earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity of fruity/spicy yeast, pale malt, and earthy hop notes; with solid strength. Taste of lemon, apricot, pear, apple, white grape, pepper, clove, wheat, cracker, bread, light honey, herbal, grass, and herbal/yeast earthiness. Good amount of earthy yeast spiciness on the finish; with lingering notes of lemon, apricot, pear, apple, white grape, pepper, clove, wheat, cracker, bread, light honey, and herbal/yeast earthiness on the finish for a short bit. Very nice balance and complexity of fruity/spicy yeast, pale malt, and earthy hop flavors; with a crisp malt/yeast balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. High carbonation and medium bodied; with a very smooth, crisp, and slightly prickly mouthfeel that is nice. Fairly dry on the finish as well. Alcohol is well hidden with zero warming present after the finish. Overall this is a very good Belgian pale ale. All around good complexity, balance, and robustness of fruity/spicy yeast, pale malt, and earthy hop flavors; and very smooth and crisp to drink. A nicely enjoyable offering.
