Reviewed from notes. The appearance was a semi-burnt yellow color with a sly transparency about it. Some carbonation could be seen rising at a moderate pace. Sly lace The aroma had some sweet corn, light bready sweetness and a touch of grassy hops. The flavor was somewhat sweet and dry which ran into the aftertaste in the same sort of way. Finish was somewhat quick, and malty. The palate was light bodied with a pretty good sessionability about it. Carbonation felt fine. ABV felt fine. Overall, not bad as a straight up blond ale that you’re not expecting much else to happen. I’d have again preferably with food.

Sampled at the brew pub on July 27, 2013.

It poured golden yellow with a full white head but very little unfiltered cloudiness.

Nice nose with Belgian style yeast and malts as well as a wheat-like thing. Not much citrus but still pretty mellow.

Light and creamy body.

The taste was of roasted pale malts, biscuit and butter with a pleasant finish. Hops were thin but not entirely lost. Of the beers I tried at the pub during my visit this was my favorite.

Good starting head that leaves decent ring lace on the glass. The liquid appears slightly green (otherwise yellow) with a mild chill haze.

Quite raw grainy aroma. Light hop in the background. Lots breadiness and dough.

Starts smoothly but it has a harsh raw grain finish. Very little hop. The flavor matches the doughy nature of the smell. Good body.

Served on-tap at the Barrington Brewery & Restaurant in Great Barrington, Mass., in a 3 oz. beer flight glass.

A: A light, pale golden color with a thin head of creamy white foam. Clarity was great and carbonation ample.

S: A little bit of corn husk, some floral hops and grain.

T: Flavor is lightly toasted malt husk and cereal grain at first/ this lends to a slightly metallic but more herbal hop flavor which lends some zest. The body finishes smooth with a nice malty, cereal finish.

M: Light bodied, crisp and smooth flowing.

D: A nice accompaniment to a spicy dish or to cut a heavier sauce. Plenty of flavor for a lighter brew and one to go over well with the general lager crowd.

Probably the best thing I had from the brewery when I was there. The beer had a pale, clear yellow appearance with a nice lacing on the sides. Aromas were pretty biscuity with a slight fruity spice to it. Taste was well balanced. Somewhat watery with a sweet, sugary, almost lemony with a thin bready flavoring. Mouthfeel made it light and refreshing but did not hinder flavor or carbonation. Overall, a great blonde ale.

Poured a medium straw hue with a one finger foamy white head. There was good retention and lacing.

The smell featured a light biscuity malt and a nice floral hop.

The taste consisted of a robust doughy malt and a good flowery and slightly spicy hop.

The mouthfeel was average for the style with good carbonation.

Overall a very tasty and easily quaffable blonde. Recommended.

Draught: This one pours a very pale yellow, and was crystal clear. There was very little head on it, but did leave a little lacing. The aroma was very weak. Slightly floral and fruity to the nose. The taste is OK, certainly not unpleasant but very pedestrian.
