This one pours a clear golden yellow color, with a small head, and lots of lacing.

This one pours a slightly hazy dark orange color, with a small head, and lots of lacing.

This smells like some peppery and yeasty spiciness, a touch of citrus peel, and some grassiness.

This definitely has that rustic and peppery Italian saison feel, even though I think this is technically a pilsner. It’s lightly fruity – citrusy and pithy, with a spicy and peppery bitterness on the back end, and some light hay-like yeastiness.

This is light bodied, crisp, clean, and super drinkable.

I really like Birrificio Italiano, and really enjoy when I can have their beers on a rare occasion.

Birrificio Italiano "Fleurette"
33 cl brown glass bottle coded "Imbottigliata il: 11-06-19 LOTTO N˚: 19108 da consumarsi preferibilimente entro il: 30-12-2019". Sampled on 5 December 2019.
€4,90 @ Birrificio Italiano, Lurago Marinone, IT

Notes: Brewed with rose petals and spices, this is intended as an easy to drink summer ale at 4.0% ABV. It pours a hazy amber colored body beneath a short head of off-white that drops fairly readily and doesn't leave a lot of lacing behind. It seems to have a lower carbonation level which explains that, but I'm not sure why they would do that. Floral and fruity in the nose with a touch of peppery spiciness. The flavor actually follows. It's a little tart, floral, fruity with berries, and subtly spicy. Did they use pink peppercorns? Low bitterness but somewhat herbal and lightly tart and spicy leading to a dry finish. Light-medium in body with a fine-bubbled, seemingly natural carbonation. I'm not really sure of what to think of this. On one hand it's really charming, and as suggested, quite easy to drink and refereshing, but on the other hand I'm left wanting more from it and that's disappointing. It's a summer beer though, so I understand but I'd love to see them do a bigger version of it.

Bottle. Oh I liked this beer. Tons of nuance but also very mild and drinkable. Aplomb. Refined. Sophisticated. Pretty cool set up. Body and flavors are light but it leaves you ruminating on the experience.

A fat shorty 750ml bottle. Says 4% abc. Poured into small snifter. Huge pop on the cap as it had an extra plastic piece inside it. Tons of fairly yellow head that falls relatively quickly. Body is clear and a nice straight golden color. Aroma is very Belgian pale like. A lot of honey and clove. Flavor is very bland. Light hops, some banana, pineapple, and a leafy-greenness. On the mouth there is a ton of carbonation but body is very light.

Overall a light and refreshing beer. Flavors are delicate. Could be good on a hot summer day but overall not my style.
