From 32GP. In Teku glass. Afte dinner. Very grassy and herbal, more malty than usual in the style, with a bigger body. I have the feeling than drinking more units will make it much more appreciable for me

On tap at the Appalachian Vintners.
Lacks clarity but otherwise a fine looking pils, especially the white head.
Hints of honey and faint spices in the nose.
Very light body would be watery if not for the medium+ carbonation.
Mild flavor, to the point of being a light pils. No major flaws but seems distinctly less than world class.

Pours a clear, yellow colour. Smelled of faint earthy hops, slight whiff of malts. It tasted well-carbonated, crisp and clean. Slight presence of earthy hops, a bit of clean malt; light to medium-bodied, with a clean finish.

400ml on-tap at Il Santo Bevitore, Venice (€7):
This one was an odd beer, it seemed quite refreshing & was fairly easy to drink with plenty of floral & citrus flavours but I'm not entirely sure it's one that I'd go hunting for. There was a nice balance between the sharp citrus flavours & the pilsner type malts but in truth there wasn't a whole lot else going on with the beer, enjoyable in the sun whilst in Italy but it's not a classic.

On tap at W J Kavanaghs, Dublin.
Lively trails of bubbles in platinum with a lumpy white carpet. 4
Crackery grain, slight wildflowers, and grass on the nose. 4
Sweet grain, then grass, slight cardamom, and lime hops. 4
Slight anise and herbal dry linger.
Light, soft, snappy. 4.25

Dah-um, that Italian mouthfeel again! Put a solid lager around that creamy body and you’re good. Maybe a touch sweet, but the hop character is there. Italy wins again. 4.25
