Hazed with a deep copper hue. Develops a nice tan foam to begin with, but the head quickly fades leaving the beer looking somewhat flat. I initially get a good dose of caramel sweetness in the nose. Upon closer inspection there is a wet, leafy note, and almost a tart fruit character in there, but mostly it's pretty clean and mild smelling.

The taste is all over the place. Oddly the malt flavor leans on the tangy side, and the beer also tastes slightly watery. Some herbal hop notes are present and the beer also finishes with a light bitterness and some astringency. At first I thought this wasn't going to be very drinkable, but after a few sips that tanginess seems to settle down and the caramel malt shines through better. The alcohol is obviously very mild. The body is a bit thin but the carbonation is adequate and overall it works for the style.

Overall this beer is decent at best. I don't drink many Irish Ales so it's hard for me to compare but I think it could be a lot better. Not really worth seeking out.
