Thanks, libbey!
Black throughout and relatively thick in body. Very small dark brown crown atop of tight, small bubbles. Leaves the glass oily and just spotted with stick on the way down. Appropriately thick and menacing in appearance. Pretty and appropriate.
A sweet imperial stout, with notes of molasses, burnt brown sugar, and roast leading the way. There's a bit of a maple sweetness, and some char and ash notes as well, especially as the beer warms.
The flavor too is very sweet, which can be expected with an imperial stout of this magnificent heft. There's notes of brown sugar and molasses, along with a very mild chocolate, along with strong notes of ash and char, unfortunately. The alcohol is hidden extremely well for the noted ABV, but the char/ashtray notes are distracting and detract from the other flavors of the beer.
Medium in body, though I expected a fuller, thicker stout. Low carbonation.
Incredibly grateful that I got to try it, but this imperial stout wasn't one of my favorites.

Had on tap at Brouwer's during Big Wood. Review from notes.
A: Suge Knight was a nice black color with one finger of tan colored head. Nice retention, rather bubbly on top, with plenty of lacing.
S: Nice roasty malt with some chocolate and coffee. Hints of vanilla too. Rather sweet with a little faint alcohol.
T: Deep flavors of milk and dark chocolate, some faint coffee and roasted malt. A bit of caramel and toffee, slight smoke presence as well.
M: Medium to full bodied with medium carbonation. Drinks rather smooth, the 14% shows through just a bit, to let you know its there.
O: A really nice IS, Boneyard can obviously make a solid non-hoppy beer.

on-tap, brouwers
appearance: served in an unbranded 12oz snifter, innocuous ebony body, light mocha cream
smell: strong roasted malts, molasses, smoke, dark chocolate
taste: consumed amongst an onslaught of imperial stouts and one of the better ones, drawing comparisons to the abyss with a little more umph. dark roasted malt, molasses, burnt sugars, char, green piney hops, dark cacao, a touch of espresso. As others have indicated, the 14% comes across well and doesnt overstay its welcome on the palate
mouthfeel: rich and chew while maintaining a great deal of balance and drinkability
overall: nice stuff - boneyard is 4/4 amongst the beers i've been able to sample

On tap at Hunahpu Day. Served in a wine glass.
Appearance - Black with a mocha head.
Smell - Vanilla and sweet chocolate. Boozy.
Taste - Very sweet. Chocolate and caramel. Some roasted malts comes through in the back end, but the booze kicks in, too.
Mouthfeel - Heavy and boozy.
Overall - I got a large pour of this. I really didn't want to overdo it on imperial stouts, but this was tasty and drank pretty easily for its size.
