Shared a growler with the old man. Also had a taster on-tap at the brewery.

This beer, even more so than the other Boneyard IPAs, is an exercise in tropical fruit. It lacks the nuance of hop venom, and it is less sweet/more tart. The tropical fruits in the nose and taste are more tart... maybe kiwi and guava. Tastes like a tropical fruit punch they'd serve at a tropical resort. Tons of fruit, no alcohol. When the beer was cold, it went down easy on the hot summer day. As it warmed, it got a little too sweet for my tastes.

Definitely worth a try if you have a chance. I found it more interesting than e.g. the Nefarious.

On tap at Belmont Station. Reviewed from notes.

A: Beautiful orange-gold color with a fluffy firm off-white head. Bubbles cascade through the body making this look light and refreshing. Kind of a false flag, really.

N: Truckloads of hops. Pineapples, spruce, grapefruit, oranges, mango shine through this, and they're backed up by spurce and some peppery spices. Malty sweetness plays a role.

T: Big malty taste with a lot of the piney bitterness. It's surprisingly light on its feet and almost refreshing despite being a huge beer.

M: Hefty but it never drives down the tongue. Resinous and well carbed. Alcohol is ridiculously well hidden.

O: Not your typical TIPA in that it won't constantly remind you are drinking one. That's either a great thing or a very bad thing for your health the next morning.
