Located in the casino, I think right before the threshold for Circus Circus. This is totally not a beer lover's destination. The most exotic beer you might get is their pale ale. The house beers suck, the best thing they might have is Great Basin's Icky IPA (think british underhopped style, and this is the best thing they have!). Super expensive, this place, and the airport one, for what you get.

So even on top of the lousy beer they make, they also have terrible service. All the servers and bartenders were huddled for like 5 minutes, talking about how they hate sports, customers, Fox news (I loved the artsy coffee barista looking guy, "I heard Fox news doesn't even check 50% of their facts. . . "). OK, that part was actually amusing in a "you poor soul" kind of way.

Anyways, sometimes they have overpriced cigars out front, depending on how trendy it is at the time. Sometimes it'll be the older crowd here, sometimes there's the tourist party accountant types. But the beer is always lame and overpriced.

Easy to have a good vibe when your in a casino. Beer was pretty good I had 4 different ones and they were all good. If you buy one of their growlers its 10 bucks refill every time and you can drink the growler inside.

I have been going to this bar since it opened the doors. I live in Reno, I used to eat here a couple of times a week since I gamble at the Eldorado and my meals are free (comped). Even though I can eat here for free it is not worth it!

I was frustrated with one bartender that was so bad we would just walk out when he worked. He is now back. We sat down for lunch and he walked up to us and asked us what we wanted and literally turned around and watched the tv while he waited for our response! I thought I was on an episode of "What would you do?" where they give extremely rude service to see what the customer would do! Why would anyone go to a bar with such consistently bad service?

The manager must be incompetent.

Another time I was in the bar a customer was so out of control that everyone around him was making fun of his antics and the bartenders saw it all and they just let this idiot ruin the atmosphere for the other customers. Why go into a bar where the manager can't figure out to get rid of the problem customers?

Since the management is clueless and incompetent I will get my free meals at another Eldorado restaurant.

Some bartenders rock, some suck. Complete hit or miss. I would say half the bartenders should be sent down the road, hope you get the other half. This would be my favorite bar if they could figure out basic service!!!

The food is usually very good. The beer is always good. If you can tolerate the poor service go anytime, if you like decent McDonald's level service, then you will be disappointed!

I did a review of Brew Brothers a few years ago but it seems to have disappeared so I will try again.
Brew Brothers is located in the Eldorado Casino on a second level, just follow the signs inside the casino. The atmosphere is like a sports bar with no feel to it, at least thats my opinion. As for beer I am a IPA guy but there Big Dog IPA has a funny taste to me, maybe to much critus for my taste. I do like the Gold Dollar Pale Ale, good warm weather beer but good year round.
As for food my two favorites are the White Pizza, three cheeses, mushrooms and truffle oil. And the other everyone has to try at least once is the Grilled Chedder Cheese Sandwich Burger, this is really different and one of a kind.
For first time visitors Brew Brothers has a lot of Beer and food specials, just look at their website and do a few google searches and hopefully save some money.
This is not my first choice for a micro in Reno, but when I meet people for lunch this is where they want to go, so we go!!!

This is a great oasis in the middle of the Casino. Walking in you get the impression of a sports bar with a number of large screens. They have about 8-9 beers on tap, a bit of something for everyone. The beers are good but nothing outstanding. The bartenders seem to know the beers quite well. The food menu has a good variety without being too large. Can't beat the 3-6 happy hour prices with a large beer only $3. Service can be a bit spotty at times. It is fairly quiet in the afternoon but activity and volume ramps up as the evening progresses.

It is supposedly rated "Best Brewpub in America" by someone. It's really more of a happening night spot that serves decent beers.

lets just say i like this place a lot and not mainly because of the beer. for me i mainly go there for the food because it is pretty damn good, especially for the price. monte cristo and their rueben are super nice. it also helps that they have their own brew which is pretty good, but not great...although based on the food it is just a bonus that they have decent beer. if it wasnt the combo of the 2 i probably wouldnt go there every time i was in reno. for a brew pub based on just beer and food, its a great place. atmosphere is lacking a bit, its more of a place to get food rather than a beer. if youre eating a meal of food and wanna sit down though, then go.

The best thing about the place was the happy hour food specials. Great deals including by one get one free personal pizzas. You can't beet that, and they were pretty good pizzas.

The beer was good and a couple were very good. I thought their Gold Dollar Pale Ale was fantastic and the best I'd had at any of the five brewpubs I visited on that trip. The Kolsch and Hefe were also very good. I was a bit disappointed in the IPA however.

Inside the casino so you have to walk through the floor to get t it, but it's worth it. Nice beer, nice prices.

With such a great location (on the second level of El dorado casino along the walkway that links to Silver legacy). Yes a great location so why not make good beer? I figure that it makes no difference people are going to stop in because they are passing by and say hey lets go in and check it out. This was my second visit, I try to give a place a second chance if the first wasn't a pleasent time. Well this place won't get a third try from me. Got a sampler set and other than the porter being a fair drink there wasn't anything really good to mention. The wheat was off flavor, stout had no body, and the IPA was unfinishable.

The food was average nothing really to get excited about. I hate giving bad reviews, but I have to tell it like it is.

Right inside the El Dorando / Silver Legacy Casinos.

Brew Bros. is VERY popular, and often crowded with a line to get in. I've been here before and waited in line for while just to get in. This time, I went for lunch, and had to wait 5 minutes or so.

Atmosphere here at night is more like a dance club, instead of a brewery. This place can get really loud. I was there for lunch, and it was pretty mellow.

The beer I had was pretty good. It was an IPA, nothing special, but it was ok and drinkable. They had about 6 beers on tap.

Food was good. I had a montecristo that was pretty tasty. Prices were reasonable.

All in all, this brewery is pretty good. But's it's just not my type of place.

Stumbled, literally, into this casino lobby location and was pleasantly surprised. We were staying in the Hotel and looking for a bite after a day of travel. They do their best to respect beer and the beer they serve while being right in the middle of the road was decent to wash down a fairly tasty burger and salad. Lots of TVs with assorted sports on, fermenters and what looks like an actual brewing set up visible behind glass near the entry. Friendly staff and good service. I ordered "whatever is hoppiest" and was served a bland Pale ale type of thing, so the house beer was not stunning, but it was beer and it seemed fresh. In short, you could do a lot worse in Reno, and this place provided a pleasant, clean setting, a decent meal and decent brew for folks passing through Reno.

I recently stayed at the Eldorado Casino while in Reno for a wedding. I don't typically visit a Casino's restaurants/establishments as I've found that the local/non-casino establishments offer more variety and atmosphere. However, after finding out that this was a brewpub, I just had to check it out and sample at least one beer.

Although Brew Brothers is located in a casino, I was happy to see that neither the bar nor the restaurant had any games or slot machines present. I was there for the atmosphere and a beer, not to gamble.

Atmosphere was pleasant with several people present to watch the NBA finals on the television. Brew Brothers offers live entertainment, and tonight was no different with a band beginning to set up on stage. Lighting was muted, which helped create a comfortable ambience amidst the dark wood and leather interior. As with most brewpubs, the brew kettles and conditioning tanks were present behind glass windows at the entrance to the pub.

I sampled the Big Dog IPA and found it was typical of many other IPAs. Average hop bitterness, but nothing spectacular about it to make it a more memorable brew. However, it was good nonetheless, and I would have ordered another had I had the time. Unfortunately, I was only able to stay for one beer.

Service was very good. I actually ordered the Big Dog from the bar, but immediately received the bartender's attention as I approached.

I was disappointed in the selection, however. Several signs located outside the brewpub mention other award winning styles which were not on tap that evening. I had hopes of trying their barleywine, but settled for the Big Dog when no other styles piqued my interest. For the most part, Brew Brothers offered the most standard of beer selections; pale ale, IPA, brown ale, and pilsner.

Having just returned from dinner, I didn't have an opportunity to sample their pub fare.

As far as value, I couldn't believe my ears when the bartender told me the price of my beer. $2.00! I don't know if they were running a special that night, but the last time I had a two dollar beer was in Mexico during happy hour.

Brew Brothers states that it was voted the best brewpub in America, however I'd have to disagree. While the atmosphere and beer was good, the general selection of beers does not even remotely match some of the local brewpubs here in Chicago.

I'd consider visiting Brew Brothers on my next trip to Reno, I just hope that they have more variety by then.

If you are stuck in the casino, this is an ok option. The hefeweizen and stout were decent and true to style. They also had a pale and one other beer. There was a limited selection with no seasonals.
There is free parking in the casino garage.
We were there during a quiet afternoon, but I heard its a madhouse on weekend eves.
Copper kettles behind the bar were the only noteworthy aspect of the decor. Everything else was what you would expect, given its in a casino.

But, if you are willing to leave the casino, its worth a venture across the street to the Silver Creek location on North Sierra.

We got to the Brew Brothers through the Silver Legacy, it isn't really inside the Eldorado, but is in the middle section where the dome is located. I believe it is only accessible from inside the complex.

The first thing was having to wait in line on a Tuesday night. It was only a 10 minute wait, but I could not grasp why a place with so much room would be completely full on a Tuesday. Anyway, we were advised of the wait and seated promptly.

Immediately after being seated a waiter came to take drink orders. He then departed to get the drinks. About two minutes later another waiter came and asked. We dispatched him, since the first had the order. The policy must be that the first person to the table takes the order so folks don't have to wait. I liked that.

The waiter arrived with our drinks. Warning, the sampler is a wooden place surrounding a growler and takes up way too much table space. The beers were all very good except the pale ale. The pale ale was near undrinkable with acetyladehyde (cut green apple) flavor and aroma that comes from separating the beer from the yeast prematurely. The lagers were crisp and the wheat was German. I chose to settle in on the Big Dog which was similar to an APA and an Old Ale mixed and nicely done. All totaled they were pouring 7 brews, 2 lagers, one red, one wheat, one stout, an APA and the Big Dog.

The food was very good as well. No complaints from any of the other three folks at the table and the pork chops I had were done to perfection. I could not even finish the entire plate. The biggest shocker...the bill. Four men, three having beers and all having dinner and the total without tip was $56.

Reading the reviews of Brew Brothers I am not sure I would have went there if a guy on the airplane had not suggested it. I am sure glad I took his recommendation. Check it out. The beer was good and the price was as well. I'll go back the next time I hit Reno, no doubt.

Have visited this place a few times while visiting my parents, who live in the area. Not being beer-oriented, my parents like the fact that this is right in between two very large casinos ( on an indoor walkway connecting the Silver Legacy and Eldorado), so they can have some fun while I try some brews after dinner.

Some of the other reviews are somewhat harsh to this place, and I can understand where they are coming from. But I look at the context, as it is a microbrew in a casino, which is different than a stand-alone microbrewery. As such, I don't think it's so bad. The food is decent, with lots of variety, the beers are plentiful and pretty tasty. Yes, it's loud, yes, it's smoky, and the architecture is not all that great, and I lowered my ratings because of it. But if I had a choice of the macrobrew at the casino bar and spending some time here, it's a no-brainer.

Large restarunt area, pipes with a beer colored substance flowing overhead. Judging by the drumkit against one of the walls, it looks as if they have live music during the evenings. I ate here twice over the July 4th weekend and thought the food was a little bit above average. The help seemed to be a bit bent with the fact that a friend and I took our own seats and did not wait to be seated (There was no sign stating the need to wait before being seated). Prices seemed reasonable. 5-7 dollars for appetizers, 7-9 bucks for 1/2 lb. burgers. Their beers are the only beers you can get there. Overall, the place wasn't that bad. Good place to eat in my opinion.

As a local i am biased against trusting any casino to cater to anyone but tourists, especially if it is located downtown as Brew Brothers is. I have been there twice in 6 month intervals and i don't want to go back unless a coupon for free food falls in my lap. Their beer is mediocre and features a small selection of unimaginative recipes ment to try and not scare away any business. The atmosphere reminds my of a beer laboratory mixed with a pub crossed with a little casino extravagence. The artificial tubes pumping colored water is kind of cool but to me none of this makes up for their average beer. The food is the only saving grace of this place, but why would any self respecting beer drinker go to a brewpub with bad beer?
The first time that i went there i had a sampler and a burger to try and guage . Nothing on the beer menu was ment to interest a well traveled beer lover as any experienced palate would have tasted these flavor a hundred times before in many of the world's other crappy micro breweries.
In spite of this poor first impression i gave them another try to see what might be on tap. Sadly i found that their "specialty" beer, a dark american wheat, was still on tap six months later. I decided that brewers who don't drink beer make poor recipes and not enough recipes at that. A few months later i heard from a friend that they copied a popular I.P.A., made by the Great Basin which is also located in Reno, in order to bring some locals in. This cemented my derision for Brew Brothers, as i think they should at least try to create their own recipies even if they are no good.
The large portions of food and the many televisions located within easy sight of the bar helped me to forget that i was drinking boring beer but not enough to make me come back.
P.S. Why do they serve everything in German Weissbier glasses?

This pub is touted as being the number one pub in the country. I would like to know by whom! O.K. I have to concede that I might be a tad biased here due to this place being in a casino. The pub itself is very dark and smoking is allowed throughout. So we opted for a "outside" table. This means it was outside the pub but you are in the casino so freaking smoke is everywhere. Still the table area was removed enough that it was not too bad. Selection could have been better as they were out of two beers. I thought the glassware really sucked as the ale was served up in tall, thin, narrow mouthed, pilsner like glasses. The beer was inconsistent, I thought the pale pretty good, the Red, poor. Service was good and friendly, and the food was tasty and plentiful. Suzanne and I had a good laugh as we were leaving, we both commented on how nobody was smoking inside the regular part of the pub. Might or might not go back.
