Has a sour taste. Kind of oaky. Not a huge fan but it's ok.

People giving this beer a 4 need to try a Sculpin or Racer 5. Color is a nice dark amber. The beer has very little bouquet. An IPA should introduce itself through the nose. The first sip give a distinct dry hop bite with zero malt follow up. It reminds me of the English IPAs of old. "Balance" is not a word I would use here. Disappointed.

Appearance: orange in color with a thick head that slowly falls to a thick surface covering. Thick lace develops on the glass too.

Smell: only some soft hop bitterness is detectable by the nose.

Taste: caramel, orange, grapefruit, pear, and a decent bitterness are the main flavors. Alcohol is well hidden.

Mouthfeel: crisp to start, less crisp and a touch dry at the finish. Long lasting bitter aftertaste here.

Overall: this beer was decent but nothing to rave about. A slightly above average higher ABV IPA that is easy to drink.
