This is about as close to a five as it gets, and the only detractor is just the nature of the business, so even that isn't their fault.

The People's Pint is a brewpub/restaurant that focuses on green/renewable service with a laser-like focus on local resources. They DO NOT ACCEPT CREDIT CARDS to cut down on paper use. They employ reusable supplies, such as napkins to reduce waste. They say that even on their busiest night they make only one bag of rubbish, incredible.

The food is fantastic. I had the squealer on my first visit, a burger with beef blended with ground pork. I also had my first stout float, which the server brought along with a sample of a pumpkin beer float because it was her favorite on the house. The beers are fantastic, but I knew that from their bottles.

The service was the best part, friendly, knowledgeable, and polite. In addition to the stout float sample story there is another instance that proves this. My first visit was during a less than busy lunch period and this is when I learned the no credit card policy. I asked the server if I could run across to the bank to get some cash and come back and get reseated. He said don't worry about it, sit and enjoy my meal and I can go to the bank after, that they trust me to come back!!! Now thats awesome.

If this were less than a 45 minute ride for me I would go here once a week, as it is I have been back and will go again.

The downsides, they don't take credit/debit cards. NBD for me, but for some it will. To me the only downside is that they are at the mercy of local production. Since it is almost all local food they can run out of items fast and without much notice. So when you have your meal in mind, have a backup ready.

I've been to the People's Pint a few times. The food is fantastic. The servers are extremely friendly. The atmosphere is relaxed. The menu is a little limited, but what they do have is all very good. If your in the area People's Pint is a must stop.

Cool place with good food and knowledgeable staff. Beers weren't too shabby either ;) I had their Slippery Slope (Braggot @ 9 abv ) & their imperial IPA. Both were very tasty.

Long time fan of the "Pint" a strong focus on Valley Local that dates back nearly 20 years.
The food value is super, the kitchen has turned many seasonal offerings into fabulous plates.
The service is always great, the place can get loud though I don't consider it to loud.
The beers are from their own brewery, the standard beers are solid, but the seasonal's are usually fantastic.
They usually have 2 cask engines, that said we go almost weekly.
Clearly worth the effort.

During a long weekend in Greenfield with friends we visited the People's Pint on a Friday night. When we got there the bar was already packed and it was standing room only to wait for a table. Not a problem since we were able to drink some beers while we waited. The restaurant a rectangular space with a large bow shaped bar in the middle. The bar shape takes away some standing room, but offers plenty of seats. It's a comfortable setting with no distracting TV's or loud music.

The beers offered are only what they brew there and they offer a large selection of styles, including blends. I thought that was pretty cool and not something you see often. Prices were reasonable and slightly lower than the Boston area. The food was good with descent portion sizes. However, I thought the burger I got was just OK. Not bad by any means, but nothing that made me go wow. I felt the same about the beers too. Descent beer, but nothing that makes me want to seek them out.

Service was great. Even on a busy night our waitress stopped by frequently to take beer orders, refill water glasses, remove empty plates, etc.

Overall I found the People's Pint as a nice place to go and grab a beer and burger with your friends. Just what a brewpub should be.
