The appearance was a semi-dark red color with a one finger white foamy head that dissipated within about a minute. There wasn’t much lacing about this. The smell had a nice light raspberry interweaving itself in and out of some sweet malt. It seemed there were some light cherries and strawberries that were there as well. The taste was slightly sweet and added a decent tartness from the raspberries. On the palate, it sat about a light to medium on the body with a decent sessionability about it. The carbonation was there and decent for the style and for me. Slight tart raspberry aftertaste with a refreshing sort of crisp finish. Overall, good fruit beer, it seemed pretty authentic in the fruits that came out at least to me.

A mixture of that pink raspberry color and an almost brown malt like base. Doesn't hold a head. Aroma was nice, mild raspberry impression.

Taste did impart sweetness, a little bit of wheat, rye or something that doesn't seem all barley with this one, or not enough. Seems like juice was just dumped in it at times.

Bottle poured into a Great Basin Brewing Co pint glass

A: Pours deep red with a frothy pink head that settles to a thin layer and laces lightly.

S: Sweet raspberry juice, a little tart, and a faint kinda earthy note.

T: Raspberry juice, a little lactic tartness, maybe a hint of light malt.

M: Medium body, prickly carbonation.

O: This is better than a lot of the raspberry beers I've tried in the past. The flavor comes off as genuine and it isn't overly sweet. That said, there's not a whole lot else going on in there. For what it is I'll take it.

Pours a different color for something that bills itself as a raspberry beer. Its pink and all, but the head seems like something from a watered down black and tan thrown in with raspberries. Aroma, not too bad, this actually conveyed the smell of store bought raspberries. Not overly sweet.

Taste, well that was a little sweet, lacked some malt body, was there wheat in here? And in what proportion, not enough, this comes off a little too fruit juicy overall. Could have used some tartness to it as well, just overall, was a little too much like a fruit juice and not a fruit beer.

Batches seem to have ranged from 5.0 - 5.7% alcohol.
