One of my favorite beers in Jacksonville - a nice big boy stout with the right touch of bourbon. It's not crazytown high abv like something from Bruery or Avery, but still sneaky drinkable at almost 10% that it will get you into trouble. Also gets props for being the last beer I drank as a free man, the night before my wedding.

Liked this one fresh 6 months of age really brought out the barrel. Reminiscent of watered down whiskey

3 Year Anniversary Release from 07/06/13
A: Pitch black. Think, creamy mocha colored head with adequate retention.
S: Big syrupy, milk chocolate nose is dominated by powerful notes of booze and oak. Undertones of fruity esters (banana).
T: Whiskey and wood up front with creamy, luscious, velvet chocolate malts taking over to add balance. Mellow banana, sharp cherry flavors linger.
M: Smooth to say the least. Hardly any boozy feel compared to strong taste.
O: Well put together. Tons of flavors come together making it in between complex and too simple.

Thin head on a very dark brown body with minimal light getting through. Excellent lacing. Aroma of oak, whiskey, dark chocolate, caramel and hint of toffee. Very nice balance of the base beer and oak/whiskey with each complimenting the other and neither dominating. Dark fruit notes of plum and raisin. May be the best beer offered here. Light carbonation and medium to full chewy body and a little bit dry of a finish. Only down side is this one is a bit boozy. Its drinkable from start to finish though.
