If there is a baltic porter on the market that sells well I'd like to see it. Anytime a brewer bottles one of these, it makes me think they are dedicated to the craft/style of beer, because they pretty much know this isn't going to be a big seller. Pours black, dark brown head 2/3". Aroma of roast and bitter dark fruits.

Taste is alcohol, bitter super dark, super ripe dark 'fruit' mixed with plenty of roasted malt and 3 day old diner coffee from the malt notes. Its a challenging drink despite having no off flavors. You gotta be down with alcohol heat, prunes, raisins and bitter ass roasted malt to be into this/the style. Mild smoke contingent along with licorice.

Appearance: Frothy with a black cola color. Regular head retention.

Nose: Salt water taffy, carmel, popcorn, salty pepper.

Taste: Vanilla, chocolate, coffee at the end with a clean finish. Licorice.

Notes: This is a good introduction to the style.

Thanks to Rado for sharing this one at jmgrub's tasting.

Pours an almost opaque super dark brown with a foamy khaki head that settles to wisps of film on top of the beer. Tiny dots of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of dark roasted malt, fruit, and slight char aromas. Taste is much the same with fruit and char flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of roasty bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer with an interesting fruity quality in the aroma and flavor.

A very dark brown, used motor oil look and a light ran head.

A rich smoky, roasted malt, with chocolate, caramel, coffee, yeast floral, and some earthiness.

Th e mouthfeel is creamy slightly carbonated and the finish lingers.

OK this is a very nice Baltic Porter, significant character like the smoky earthy notes presented in the beer. I really can appreciate the craftsmanship that went into this beer.

This one has a pillowy tan froth covering its dark brown body. Roasted malt, faint chocolate and dark fruit to the nose. Milk chocolate, cacao, roasted coffee and black cherry down the gullet and as smooth as it gets with a faint lingering alcohol heat and medium body.

Like a nice-fitting tux; sleek and classy.

Poured from 22 oz bomber into snifter glass.

A: Pours a very dark brown almost black with generous 2-3 finger tan head with decent retention and some nice lacing.

S: Roasted malts, vanilla, campfire smoke.

T: Espresso, roasted malts, vanilla with a hint of bitter chocolate.

M: Medium body and reasonable carbonation. Finish is fairly dry but consistent with style.

O: Enjoyable porter. The flavors meld nicely, and this is a very easy drinking brew. Might have to pick up another bottle on my next Vegas trip.
