Meridian Pint is a bit out there from the downtown and "circle" scenes, nearly smack in the middle of the District. There's free parking available on the surrounding blocks at night, and it's just a short walk from the Columbia Heights rail station. I do believe there were a couple big-screens behind the bar.

The inside is comfortable, lots of wood and brick with big storefront windows that make good use of the street corner setting. Music was of the 80's variety, but only barely loud enough to hear.

The draft selection was solid and exclusively American, with a range of styles from respectable breweries across the country, as well as a rotating cask from the local Oliver's. Nothing especially rare but no filler either. My cask Oliver's Scottish was served in a standard pint.

Table service was friendly and on-time. No complaints there.

Shared an appetizer of risotto cakes - tasty and enjoyable, but probably not enough to provide a rating.

Meridian Pint is the best beer bar in D.C. because they hit on every aspect of craft beer drinking very well. There are two distinct but enjoyable vibes between the upstairs and downstairs. While the upstairs is more of a dining room atmosphere, the downstairs is essentially an adult playground filled with bar games, TVs, and even pour your own beers. Their selection of beers is always very well curated and properly handled. They keep a wide range of styles on drafts and in bottle. The servers are knowledgeable about the product and generally attentive. The food is excellent by bar food standards and downright good even by DC restaurant standards. This place can appease just about anyone looking to grab a beer and tasty food.

All around good spot. Solid food, pretty good draft list, and really solid bottle list. While the draft list when I visited wasn't mind blowing, the bottle list had two jester kings (I've never seen any in the belt way before) and parabola (all the more amazing since it was 11 months after it was released). Would definitely recommend this place

Meridian Pint is a nicely appointed beer bar. If you'd be looking for more ambiance, I don't know what your standards are. The local selection is good. Beyond that, it's so-so. The food is typical. The ceviche is outstanding.
