On tap at home. If you are looking for an over the top IPA that just knocks your socks off with hops, this isn't it. But if you are looking for a very good, drinkable session IPA, take this one. Hops and malt are very well balanced with just a slight bitterness at the end. My friends have very much enjoyed this one. We have mixed it with Grave Robber (Lonerider) and the resulting beer is awesome, Ebony & Ivory (I stole that one from Sean!)

Poured from the growler into a nonic a rich copper color with a tight formed one finger white head that settles pretty slowly.Aromas were a mix of caramel malt and more of a leafy/herbal hop presence, not in your face citrus and pine.A balanced ipa with the hops being somewhat subdued for the style,carame/biscuit and "green" hops are intertwined thru to the finish. Its not hop "heavy" but its a nice quaffable balanced ipa.

Poured from a bottle into a pint glass.

Appearance: Amber color with a thick white head.

Smell: Sweet citrus with pine notes.

Mouthfeel/Taste: Smooth medium bodied. Taste of bitter hops and pine notes with a mild citrus after taste.

Overall: Good IPA, I would have this one again.

L - Dark gold body with thin white head. Interesting lighter shade for today's IPAs.

S - Vegetal. Not an adjective I always use. Some faint citrus but not as much as I would think. I really wish I knew which hops they used. Herbal and floral more than anything else. Different but fine.

T - Slight bitterness, noticeable but not stinging alcohol. Subdued hops and malts. Best part about it is that the relatively lackluster taste really lingers nicely in your mouth. Very flowery and delicate.

F - Drinks like a session beer. Thin body that finishes fairly dry. The body hides the alcohol and there is no real cloying sweetness. Easy to drink.

O - It is not a bad beer. Very easy to drink but at 7.0% it could sneak up on you. If you are trying to expand your palate and really identify that "floral" quality in a non-English beer, this is a good one.

On tap at the brewery on 3/3/12.

Pours a copper-amber with no head. The nose has a bright, citrusy aroma that features a little mango and some grapefruit. The flavor is a balance of light, bready malt and heavy citrusy hops. The flavor is simple but drinks well. There is a slight bitterness in the finish that lingers, but is smooth enough for you to want another sip immediately. The mouthfeel is medium bodied and very smooth and almost decent carbonation.

This is a nice, balanced, easy drinking IPA. It's not overly hoppy nor malty. The hops they chose for this one add great drinkability, flavor, and aroma. It's a great compliment to the malt character. I'll definitely have this one again.
