Presentation: Sampled at the Main Street Casino, Brewery and Hotel during a recent Sunday Afternoon visit to Las Vegas. Dispensed from one of the 4 Taps at the Main Bar that overlooks the Slot Machines Floor and served in a straight sided Pint Glass. Cost less than $2 for a Pint.

Appearance: Well it is a lucid gold with a large white head that has good staying power. It looks great and has a very Pale Lager feel about it – sadly its Macro looks follow through in the rest of the experience.

Nose: A musty wheat smell with some damp barley aspects. Sweetish odors that suggest a forced element in the nose.

Taste: Sickly, sticky thin tastes. It was served very cool, yet tasted like a warm room-temperature Macro produced Euro-Lager. Butterscotch was detectable in the sweet middle. Quiet awful and disconcerting. I looked at the others who were trying this; it wasn’t just me who struggled with this one.

Mouthfeel: Sticky corn and metallic slashes punctuate the feel in the mouth. Very thin, yet somehow, it retained an incredibly disgusting feel of sucking on boiled cabbage. Another Marker Pale Ale please………….I needed to wash the feel of this one away ASAP.

Drinkability: Of the two of us that tried it – the first mouthful put us off, the second mouthful sadly reinforced the perception and experience of the first. The third mouthfeel simply never happened. Awful.

Overall: Extremely disappointing, to the point of even being revolting – we asked if the Keg was fresh and were told yes, we questioned the beer with the Bartender – no adverse comments either supporting or negating our voiced impressions.

I expected more. Still, considering the quality of the Marker Pale Ale and Black Chip Porter, I can only assume that this is specifically directed towards the Bud-Coors-Millers drinkers. Maybe they have done too good a job here, because for me, and everyone else that tried it on Sunday, this was just garbage. Purchased, Sipped – Immediately Returned. Thankfully, there is no need to bother with this beer when the Marker Pale Ale and Black Chip Porter make such superb Session Beers.

Sample at the brewpub. Clear gold color with a thin white head that dissipates quickly. Thin rings of lacing. Malt, wheat and yeast in the nose. Light-bodied with a wheaty character and flavors of pale malt and yeast. The finish is soft and wheaty with some lingering fruit aftertaste. Unmemorable overall.

This is Main St. Station's lightest looking offering, but don't be fooled, it is not a "light beer". This beer pours a clear, light golden color with good white foam. The smell is malty, but modest. No fruity esters in the aroma. The taste is malty, with a hint of wheat, and with hop bitterness to balance. The finish is malty. The mouthfeel is good, clean and crisp, with a dry finish (wheat). The drinkability is surprisingly good. This is a very refreshing beer.

Clear gold in color with a thin 1/2" head. Light lacing developed. There was almost no aroma with this one, as my nose almost touched the surface of the beer to sense some malt. The flavor was somewhat dull as malt level was pretty low, and there was a hint of bitterness. There seemed to be a faint candy tone as you swallow this.

The mouthfeel was good as this was smooth with a clean, dry finish. Light bodied. Drinkable, but rather dull and uninteresting.

Pours a clear, honey color with a small head that leaves a little lace.
Smell is hops, citrus, malt. Big citrus note.
Taste is hops all over!! Some citrus and malt way, way back.
The hops just stays like an unwanted relative crashing on your couch. Nice medium body and effervescence. this seems like a lager in which case, it's ok. But as a wheat beer it's wrong. I would not drink this again. Strangely, this is their most popular brew.

Appearance: Clear golden color but when it is held up to light you can see a bit of cloudiness in it. Thin head without much structure.

Smell: Raspy, sweet, malty aroma.

Taste: Malty sour but well balanced with a very light hop ending and a crisp taste of Munich malt.

Mouthfeel: Smooth and clean with a saltine cracker-like ending.

Drinkability: It is a good beer to style and is quite drinkable. Not very memorable, but nothing to turn up your nose at.

When I saw this was a wheat beer, I was turned off. After having it in a sampler, it was much better than expected so I opted for a few pints of it as it complemented the food (hot thai and buffalo wings) I was having nicely.

Pours as described-gold straw in color, small white head--maybe a hint of oranginess to it too.

It doesn't have a wheaty taste or smell to it. Smells like mild malt with some lingering bitterness from the hops. The taste is a pure basic gold colored beer taste. Think good euro-pilsener, or a good Munich Helles--thats what this reminded me of. Has some corn like notes a well as breadiness.

Mouthfeel is just plain good thirst quenching feel. At 5% abv, these are a very worthy session beer. Extremely drinkable.

This beer could also easily pass for a standard Pilsner. Opens with a standard straw color, well headed, and presented a modest haze. Scents of pilsner malt and wheat malt dominate with sweetness and breadiness, with a modest citrus hop scent. Flavors are also dominated by the sweet maltiness, with a slight vegatable flavor (corn-like), with the hops taking on some orange flavors and some metalic flavors. The feel is a bit heavier than expected, and takes on a lightly oily feel. Finishes with a crisp bread / hop flavor. Certainly not my favorite of the Triple 7 offerings, but the beer was again well blanaced and overall, pleasant.

Pours a clear golden color. Light white head with good lacing. Minimal carbonation seen rising.

Sweet floral aroma, some slight malts and light hops

Taste has light hops at the end, some malts. Tastes like a macro lager to me. I was expecting some wheat to come through, but it didn't happen.

Mouthfeel was cleansing and light bodied.

Overall, This is a light, refreshing, cleansing beer. Decent session beer. Didn't exactly fit the style [or what I was expecting]. Not one that I would have again, but probably good for the masses of not BA's.

Very Malty. This is a beer that you could drink all night. Great golden/copper color, with decent head retention. There was no bitter aftertaste, as the hop profile was very low, which seemed appropriate for the beer. The smell was a very pleasant, subtle aroma, which made me think of baked cookies.

Usually, I don't particularly like the words "wheat" or "cream" in my beer, but I would drink this again. A beer does not have to have to have more than 50 IBU's or have a higher gravity than 1.060 to be good... and this beer proved it.

Consumed at brewery, 05/09/08.

Very clear light gold.

No active carbonation in the glass. Head is minimal white foam skin.

Slight corny grain aroma.

Flavor is surprsingly malty, though there are no balancing hops to note. I didn't note any wheat character in the flavor, oddly. In fact, it had more of an amber ale caramel malt profile than anything else.

Like all their beers, they might have overfiltered for clarity and sacrificed some flavor on the way.

Consumed 1/06/10 at Main Street Station, Las Vegas for $1.50

A - Finger of cloud white fine bubble head. Clear brass color. Pretty good lacing. Not cloudy like many witbiers.

S - Crisp dry, noted of linseed and faint hops.

T - Taste like a APA. A big difference between US and German styles. Matly, sweet, too filtered probably. No yeast flavors. Not too hoppy though.

M - Crazy smooth. Just a bit of dryness. Positive feelings abound.

D - Not bad. Not what I expected for something with wheat in the title but plain and drinkable.
