Poured from the growler into a snifter glass at the tasting. Much thanks to b3playr for the goods!
A bit filmy looking like an oil slick, but with a clear peach orange body, and very bubbled light tan to white collar.
Good fruity quality on the nose, slightly tropical but hinting to more tangerine, and mild orange sense on the hop angle. Good juicy aromas to match as well, and slightly varied with some mint and herbal green quality.
Palate travels nicely from the aroma. Juiced body but not big, keeping with tangerine and minty finish and mid palate awakening. Some floral notes seem to translate, but there's also not much malt presence peaking out on this for balance. Light but solid body feel with flavors able to open and even some pine like bitterness on the finish.
Overall just a solid simple delicious IPA.

A: hazy golden orange with thin sustaining head and minor lacing
S: nothing strong, but I find I have a hard time with this at times. Maybe as the beer warms, but I get dirt, with some very mild orange notes
T: starts decently carbonated, slightly biting with a strong earthy backbone. There is a subdued sweetness, sort of brown sugar I nature, but it works well with the base to begin the taste. A grapefruit bitterness seems to try to take over, but a woody/piney late flavor dominates it throughout the end of the taste.
M: dry, resiny, piney, maybe a slight bit metallic
O: an enjoyable West-coast-ish IPA that doesn't kill you from the start. I liked it as a bit more bitter and biting than other Mad Fox IPAs.
Upon re-review, lowered appearance and overall. Didn't quite have the bite I originally reviewed, but was still a good beer.
