L: Poured from a bottle to a pint glass. Had a medium brown color and a murky, thick consistency. There was a quarter inch of off white, foamy / fizzy head that quickly dissipated. Below average lacing.
S: A nice aroma of toffee, malt, dark fruit, and the advertised oak.
T: Tasted of a fair amount dark fruit (currants, in particular), a good shot of toffee, lots of malt, a bunch of oak (especially in the finish), and a bourbon tinge. An interesting flavor that's generally pretty successful. Not quite as aggressive with some of its elements as it should be, but still fairly tasty.
F: A decent amount of carbonation with a smooth finish. Medium-bodied.
O: This beer has its flaws, but is still drinkable. Worth a try.

A: The beer is clear but very dark red in color (black when viewed form afar). It poured with a just a narrow color of off white bubbles around the edge of the glass.
S: Moderate aromas of red wine are present in the nose.
T: Similar to the smell, the taste has a combination of flavors that seem to resemble red wine tannins.
M: It feels medium-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: The mixture of aromas and flavors in this beer interestingly resemble red wine. It seems to be a lot lighter compared to other beers in the style. It is quite drinkable because no alcohol is detectable in the taste.

Good Wee Heavy. Pours a dense brown color from a bomber into a tulip glass. Absolutely no light gets through. A dark tan head is fairly small and dissipates fast leaving a long lasting ring and a light filmy covering on the glass. There a a few thin ribbons of lacing. Aroma and taste are good. Rich toffee and dark fruit (mostly raisins), some sugar and of course the mild oak bitterness and a noticeable whiskey presence. The mouthfeel is rich with no alcohol bite. This is a malty beer with some balancing bitterness from the oak. Very enjoyable, nicely done!!!

Poured a black body with minimal head and lace. Woody and boozy along with hints of dark fruits like currants raisins plums in aroma. Sticky, malty beer with a woody and buttery smoothness, fig and vanilla sweetness in taste and slight booze on finish. Notes of dark fruits like raisins and plums as well and touches of booze

Oak is too drying and the flavor is more tart than I would like/expect from the style.

Draft at the source.
Chestnut / burgundy body with a thin collar. Oak, ripe dark fruits, malt, booze. Sweet whiskey with red wine and tannic notes. Lots of oak. Bourbon character is bold throughout. Medium plus body, a bit syrupy. Sweet and sour notes, heating the cheeks in the finish. Intriguing...
