750ml growler poured into a Noda snifter.

A~ glowing light orangey yellow. definitely resembles a mimosa. nice flowing white head and a lot of lacing all the way down.

S~ lots of tangerine, followed by a nice amount of pine and hop bitterness on the finish.

T~ takes a slight spin off course, first you get some fresh cut grass which then tastes like it was marinaded in a crazy citrus infusion of tangerines, lemons, oranges, and clementines. more earthyness on the finish, pine, grass, and a little hay. of course leaving which seems like a citra hop bitterness on the palet.

M~ very smooth, crisp, and refreshing. nice carbonation and a tad dry from the hops.

O~ really nice, well balanced IPA. great for a hot day like today. definitely worth a try but i wouldn't put it in my top 10 or anything... especially after having Mag 7 last night haha

Drank from a 750 ml (25.36 fl.oz.) growler purchased at Hill Farmstead Brewery, Greensboro Bend, VT
Best consumed by OCT 17 2015
Served in a pint glass

Cloudy straw yellow appearance. Almost golden. The body and was topped by frothy, inch-plus tall, bone white crown. One huge drippy ring of lacing trickled down the top portion of the glass. The head fell to a lasting bubbly cap.

The aroma was hoppy and rather dry. Super dank and musty. Very weed-like. Grapefruit was quite noticeable. Lots of pine needles too. Crisp and lemony. Fairly tart. Nice overall but a bit more subtle than most Hill Farmstead IPAs.

Lemony notes also came through strong in the flavor profile. Really tart and dry. Loads of white grapefruit. Slightly grassy. The finish was pithy and dry and contained intense lemon and grapefruit rind-like notes. Crisp, clean and refreshing.

The mouthfeel was super soft and frothy on the palate. Creamy and smooth. The liquid contained a fine, subtle effervescence. Lighter bodied for the style. Solid, yet perhaps a touch thin.

Grassroots IPA is a solid take on the style. Although this may not be one of the better hoppy beer made by the folks at Hill Farmstead, it is definitely worth trying.

I enjoyed this fresh from the growler purchased at Hill Farmsted in a goblet chilled.

The color is golden peach with medium haze and thick white head with fine bead and thick lace pattern. The smell has a lot of simcoe with grapefruity dank and herbal with slight floral aspect and zesty with a little sweetness from malt and light tropical fruity/orange rind note. The feel is tangy with fruit aspect and moderate carbonation with moderate bitterness and semi-dry finish.

The taste is good with juicy flavor with slight citrus and simcoe-ish grapefruit and dank herbal quality with mild yeast and lemongrass type fruity/earthy element with a slight sweetness from the malt and almost tea-like herbal and dank character from hops with a semi-tropical finish. Overall this is a great IPA, love the simcoe flavor in this smooth with great drinkability one of the more standout IPA's I have had recently!

Growler picked up at the bottle release on Thursday, drank Friday. shared with rudzud.

Pours a light creamy head that fades fairly quickly, touch of lacing, super hazy whitish yellow color.

Nose is great, fresh hops, nice citrus with tangerine and bit if stone fruit, mild resin, little earthiness and rich of a grassy almost chewy hop, touch of grapefruit pith and just a touch of tropical fruit.

Taste is like hop water, malt is very light and light feeling, little watery. Hops are fairly bitter, floral grassy almost dandelion like floral, little resin and hint earthy like hop. Citrus like little tangerine, nice grapefruit, juicy citrus light generic tropical fruit. Fair bitterness that overpowers any malt. Finish is dry with little resinous hop character, hint of mint and grapefruit lingering, little watery malt.

Mouth is thin and watery, decent carb.

Overall ok, nice hops but very lacking on malts, so too watery. I expected more from a Shaun Hill IPA.

Poured from a growler into a shaker pint, the beer is an opaque, pale, lemon yellow coloring with a frothy, foamy, clingy, bright white head. Aromas of lemon, tangerine, pepper spice, grass notes, a bready backbone, and subtle piney highlights. Flavors are insanely balanced, with a grassy and lemon sweet blend forward, followed by tangerine, orange rind, pine pitch, and subtle pepper spice. All of these characteristics are riding on a bready backbone. The body is smooth and light, with a subtle crisp and dry feel at the end. The aftertaste is grassy and bitter, with the citrus notes being subdued slightly. Smooth, slightly dry finish with a lingering bitterness. Great beer.

Sweet and juicy IPA. Nose and taste of peach, grapefruit, pineapple, and mango. Practically fruit in a glass. Smooth mouthfeel. An excellent IPA that any IPA lover should fine more than acceptable.

On-tap 8/1/2015 at Armsby Abbey, in Worcester, MA served in a tulip glass.

A: The beer is a deep yellow color, with a large dense white head that fades slowly and leaves a thick lace on the glass.

S: The aroma contains piney hops, fruity citrus and caramelized malts.

T: The taste starts out with a nice burst of very grassy hops bitterness. Then some citrus and caramel sweetness comes in. The malt character is hearty but not too heavy and brings a very good balance. The after-taste is slightly hoppy and slightly sweet.

M: Crisp and very smooth, medium body, medium carbonation, finish is very clean for the style.

O: Tasty, goes down quite easily, not too filling, decent kick, very good representation of style, this is a very solid IPA to pound down for a long time.

A: Yellow orange like a pelligrino. Pure white head and rings of lace.

S: Sweet citrus. Spicy wood musk. Floral pine. Grassy.

M: Very smooth feel. Semi-dry, tart.

T: Musky and woodsy pine notes compliment dank citrus. Lemon and grapefruit. Rustic barn like malts covered in tropical vines and flavors.
