Sage aromatic and flavor is pronounced and really sets this beer apart. A unique herbal quality layered over a sweet belgian ale. High marks for originality.

I'm glad to see this categorized as Fruit/Vegetable. It's certainly a Tripel in the general sense, but the seriously herbal flavor is what dominates. Strong and sweet is the other main impression.

Clear amber in the tall tulip. A little darker than the usual Tripels. Not much head, but a tang of carbonation. A different taste, but seems to go along with the Belgian taste, and the sage is quite a nice herbal flavor. There is just a lot of sage. The nose is very strong of sage. A little seems to go a long way. Still, it doesn't remind you of turtkey dressing.

Carbonation is nearly gone before the glass is empty. I think Craftsman should try this sage flavoring in a scratchier, drier, bitter Saison. On tap at Pizza Port in OB.
