On tap at the brewery...5.3%. Has won some awards.
Brown with small head.
Light malt aroma.
Moderate carbonation and mouthfeel.
Flavors of amber malts, caramel, slight butter, slight burnt malts. Overall smooth and easy...not big and bold but not wimpy...could work as a session brew.

Enjoyed at brewery on 2/12
Unusual light brown in color; very small head; minimal lacing; light cocoa nose; very easy brown ale in flavor; touch of cocoa powder in flavor as well; apparent silver medal winner at the Colorado State Fair; comparable to the recently-tasted Avery's Ellie's Brown without all the flavor; good accessible beer.

On-tap and served in a pint glass:
A - Pours a dark brown color with a creamy, one finger tan head. Retention and lacing are sub-par.
S - Toasted malts with some sweetness and floral hops. Quite mild in strength.
T - Nutty, toasted flavor with some sweet caramel notes. Hops are rather subdued but appropriately so.
M - Smooth with a nice dry finish. Ideally built.
D - Probably the best beer on tap at Elk Mountain. Very well built for a brown. Good beer at a good Brewpub.
