Pours a hazed gold with one finger of cream colored head. Above average head retention & slightly better lacing

S: Passion Fruit, mango & orange peel, fades just a little as it warmed

T: Follows the nose, bready dryness & little grapefruit up front. Passion fruit & orange as this warms along with pine & dryness, plus a little pink grapefruit

MF: Medium body, subdued carbonation, stellar balance

Drinks like a dream, would love to see this in a 4 or 6 pack format, well done TG!

MoZee pours a hazy brighter copper color, with a huge, long lasting and lacing head. Citrus aroma; fruity and sweet. Flavor has a subtle hop flavor, lots of creamy citrus. Nice thick body, great flavors. Overall, fantastic, big flavors, easy to drink great feel, on the sweeter side, but not too sweet.

Pours a cloudy light orange with a one inch white head that is well retained and left ample lacing. Smells of strong tropical fruits, some citrus and pine. Tastes of mango, kiwifruit, peach, melon, tangerine, pine and a bit of sweet malts. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, light bitterness and a minimally dry finish.

22oz bottle. Poured out a hazy, golden orange color with a small, white head of foam. It smelled of pineapple, mango, grapefruit and orange peel. Sweet tropical fruit taste with a solid bitterness and sweet caramel finish.

Poured from bottle to glass-from TG brewery bottle on 11-16-2018.
L-hazy golden color with nice foamy white head that slowly fades
S-citrus heaven, pineapple and grapefruit!
T-nice combo of two hops makes this a great taste full of flavor and hoppy tang in the mouth
F-great all round feel to the mouth, some bubbles make it in too. Great refreshing brew from TG!

Bottled exactly 4 weeks ago.

L — Pours a hazy muted orange body with 1.5 fingers of soapy white head produced with aerated pour. Some retention and good lacing
S — Yellow grapefruit, dank mustiness, kiwi, tire rubber, mango, orange sorbet, lime zest, peach
T — Oily/rindy citrus hop goodness, earthen woodsiness, green mango, garden herbs, white grape
F — Crisp, easy drinking, and clean. Has that nice oily finish that many of TG’s hoppy offerings have alongside that nice low bitterness. Medium mouthfeel, medium+ carb. Just a little watery around the edges
O — Another pricey yet tasty bomber from TG. Unexpectedly interesting and engaging hop combo

Poured from 22 oz bottle into shaker pint glass. Bottle on 11/19/18. Fresh beer!
A: Nice cloudy orange-yellow hue with 2 inch bubbly white head. Excellent retention.
S: Soft citrus (tangerine, lemon, orange), melon, minty herbal note, and hint of white pepper.
T: Follows aroma fairly closely...soft citrus (tangerine, grapefruit, orange), dry herbal bite, white pepper, and a hint of melon around the edges.
M: Light body. Mildly chewy. Mild citrus sweetness with a stronger hop astringency and bitterness. Lingers nicely on the palate.
D: A solid example of style. Even though it is not up there with some of their stratospheric offerings, any IPA from TG is worth a go.

From a month-old bomber into a tulip. Pours a dense and hazy peachy apricot with a good head and decent retention and lacing. Nose is huge and layered tropical and flowery and earthy hoppiness at first, then a touch of piney zip, with some soft breadiness in there too...fantastic. Taste follows the nose, all the same notes but not quite as layered. Mouthful is great...nice and substantial, soft, but also a little zippy liveliness. This is up there with the better NEIPAs...it hits all the style markers but throws in a little hoppy bite that works just right for me.

This is an amazing beer, despite drinking a 3-month old bottle. Hazy and thick, with an amazing fruity (apricot, mango, grape, peaches, melon, citrus) and piney aroma and flavor. Mild carbonation and a lingering bitter aftertaste that makes you want to drink more. A very complex yet a very drinkable ale.

Type: 22-oz. bottle
Glass: Clear 16.5-oz. Belgian ale tulip
From: Bine & Vine Bottle Shop in Normal Heights (San Diego), Calif.
Price: $7.99
Purchased: Feb. 23, 2018
Consumed: Feb. 23, 2018
Reviewed as: American IPA
Misc.: Bottled on Jan. 22, 2018

Had recently seen this somewhere, probably on the email list from Bine & Vine. Stopped by after dinner at Blind Lady Ale House and started to walk out, but then asked the worker if there was some Toppling Goliath beer called Mosaic something. We narrowed it down to this and I picked up a bottle. Description I found read, “MoZee harmonizes two of our favorite hops in a unique and explosive way. Nelson Sauvin hop provides white wine-esque notes with grapefruit and kiwi flavor; this pairs together with the Mosaic hop’s flavor of mango and pineapple. These hops were meant for each other, and this beer is meant for you.” Not the biggest Nelson fan, but one of the biggest Mosaic fans. Should be interesting.

Poured a pale-to-gold hazy color with 3-to-4 fingers of rocky white head. Lots of slow moving thin bubbles on the sides of the glass. World-class foamy layered lacing. Almost perfect foamy retention. (Sight - 4.50)

Smell was pretty damn good from the get-go. Big whiffs of Mosaic, Nelson, floral, mango, pineapple, grapefruit, dish soap, orange blossom, orange sherbet, nectarine, peach, tangerine, some unknown peppery spice, papaya and hints of white grape. More tropical notes from the bottle with guava, papaya, pineapple and mango really dominating. (Smell - 4.25)

Taste wasn’t quite as good as the nose overall. Lots of tropical notes though. Got papaya, guava, pineapple, mango, grapefruit, nectarine, peach, Nelson, tangerine, orange sherbet, Mosaic, floral, bitter citrus rind, pepper spice and white grape. (Taste - 4.00)

Medium body. Creamy texture. Lively carbonation. Dry, bitter finish. (Feel - 3.75)

This was a really good IPA. Was wavering the taste between 4.00 and 4.25 and the overall between 4.00 and 4.25. (Overall - 4.25)

Thanks to Jeff for this one. 22oz. capped bomber into Night Shift stemware.

Pours a solid head with low clarity. Beer has nose of grapefruit, starfruit and a dank, juicy hop bitterness. Aromatic. Beer opens grass, pineapple and starfruit. A nice bitterness in the middle that tastes like grapefruit and a touch of bark in the back. Not to sweet or fruit forward with a good hop bite on the finish. This is trying to straddle the line between regular and NE IPA. I like it. Body is light with moderate carbonation. Lively but smooth on the palate and goes down soft, fluffy. Very drinkable.

Just a really well crafted IPA. I like the balance of the hop bitterness to offset the mellow fruit presence. Its not something I get very often any more.

You almost do or see something so magnificent that it almost leaves you at a loss? The birth of your first child, the day you graduated college, the first time you saw J-Lo’s booty in HD... we are talking big things here, my children. And The first sip of Mozee almost put Raul at those levels. Now, J-Lo’s derrière in full HD this is not, but it’s kind of up there with the birth of my lil soldier. Nah, nah, Raul kids, Raul kids. But this thing is hot dog good!

Seek it out, my children.

Cloudy yellow beer with a decent white head in the Ommegang chalice. Pleasantly sharp-edged and spritzy. Interesting woody aroma with maybe a hint of something flowery. Grassy, I guess is the word.

Not so fruity except for a touch of white grapes with straw in the nose. Flavor is actually kind of malty with just a slight sweet taste with a moderate bitter aftertaste. Very restrained use of the Mosaic hops, if that's what they are. This is a perfectly drinkable hoppy brew. Or maybe gulpable.

It would make for a highly rated Pale Ale but I'm happy to taste an IPA that's more friendly than agressive. From the 22 oz bottle purchased on the West Coast at Krisp Market.

L: Super hazy light yellow. Two and a half fingers of off-white head has great retention. Excellent lacing. Nice looking beer.

S: Loads of tropical fruit are represented from the Mosaic, loads of Mango and Pineapple and the Nelson Sauvin bring in the kiwi well as labeled. Wonderful aroma.

T: Rich wonderful flavors here, super tropical, mango and pineapple with that kiwi from the nose. Really nice.

F: Light, crisp, lingering mango.

O: Great beer.

22 oz. bombers poured into a wine glass.

Golden orange hue on the body. Quite hazy. Super fluffy and pillowy head that leaves great lacing behind.

Nose is all mangos up front immediately followed by loads of grass then some hints of herbal green tea, there is also a hint of orange juice mixed in throughout.

Taste is similar. Big juicy hop driven mango flavors, spiked with orange juice, hit the palate first. Then there are grassy and dank flavors that follow the initial burst of fruit. Some alcohol is apparent, along with some underlying grains. There is a distinct green tea note along with a dry bitterness on the finish.

Mouthfeel is medium bodied with prickly carbonation and a significant bitter and dry finish.

A very good IPA. I'm pretty impressed.

Bottle poured into a Mountain Rambler Brewing Co pint glass

A: Pours hazy golden orange amber with a frothy off white head that settles to a firm layer and laces beautifully.

S: Lively citrus and tropical fruit, sorta white wine fruitiness, a little resinous, biscuity malt, and caramel sweetness.

T: Tropical, pineapple, passion fruit, mango, kiwi, and gooseberry, citrus, lemon and grapefruit, faint white grapes, resinous, a little dank, biscuity malt, and caramel sweetness.

M: Medium body, moderate carbonation, somewhat soft on the palate.

O: About as much flavor as you can pack into a 6.2% beer. Another winner from TG.

Pour is a very hazy orange color, not turbid, just exceptionally hazy, and an off-white head. Aromas are dank, citrusy hops, with grapefruit and juicy pineapple dominating the nose, but also mango notes.

The mango is up front on the taste, and dovetails nicely into the juicy pineapple and grapefruit, and there’s a light malt component, too. This is the kind of beer TG does really well, and this specific beer is no exception.

L: Pours hazy orange bronze with 2+ fingers of medium density eggshell white head with good retention and left substantial mixed lacing.

S: Very tropical, prominent pineapple and mango, floral and grassy undertones.

T: Follows the nose well, grassy aspects more prominent than on the nose, subtle white grape and dank aspects appear as it warms. Finishes with mild bitterness with minimal astringency, clears palate quickly with some dryness.

F: Medium bodied, medium carbonation, slight tingling from acidity, slightly creamy on the tongue.

O: Very nice tropical IPA.

Poured out pretty gently and half the glass is s off white dense and frothy head. The rest is a juicy pulpy looking beer.
The smell is of mango/orange and tropical juicy flavors.
The taste is the same with a little bit of malt shining. Has a little bit of tart.
Overall, this is good but maybe it shouldn't have been my first from Toppling Goliath.
