Sweet orange citrus, white wine grape, and light hint of dank on this one! Taste follows with an orange citrus bitter finish...some piney dank bitterness creeps up as it warms. This is a little thin for a double IMO, but feels decent on the palate. This is good.

22 oz. bomber that’s been in my possession for about four hours. Split with my wife. Oh, & I love mushroom hunting. Fresh beer & fresh mushrooms are a killer combination. Literally, if you’re not sure what you’re picking…

The pour is a murky yellow that reminds me a bit of the leftover grease collecting in a plastic cup in our kitchen. The nose brings peach with a distinct aroma of my grandpa’s barnyard in haying season. Very distinct.

Scorpius Morchella is an odd duck. Or arachnid. Strong earthiness in the forefront – but a clean earthiness, if that makes sense, not the swampy, damp, boggy nastiness that presents with most “dank” beers. Fresh hay, light citrus, white pepper, peaches, & moderate bitterness that trails off into the distance. Sharp. Half a bomber is the right proportion of beer/liver.

Certainly a unique beer, with a combo of tastes I haven’t encountered in the 73,000 beers I’ve sampled over my 105 years. Pretty good beer.

i get it that these guys were one of the original makes of this sort of thing, not a trend follower, and that they have some of the most notable hazy ipa types out there. i also get that its exciting to drink beer from them, but this one really isnt that different or that great, and as much as i think its tasty, its probably better on its own than it is in the context of the rest of their hoppy portfolio. the aroma is fresh citrus, but so are a million other dry hopped beers like this. its juicy and its fresh, but that does not make it unique or special anymore. what bothers me here is the hop burn, its like so dry hopped that there is a distinct vegetal harshness about it, like it was hopped beyond its carrying capacity. sure those hops are delicious, they smell and taste incredible here, but the textural sacrifice is a lot to give up, and while this has plenty of grainy body, it also is a little hot and overly hoppy going down. subtle melon and pineapple here with the citrus, a nice mix of hop varietals and a fine technique, but these guys have clearly found a formula and a sticking to it, not unlike the early beatles songs, but just like 4/4 time and verse chorus verse song structure, this is becoming a little redundant and as much as i like it, i want a new experience every time i have a toppling goliath beer, or anything this hyped for that matter, and thats not what i got with this one...

Beautiful cloudy golden look. Smell is candied tropical fruit (orange/pineapple). Taste follows nose and stays sweet tropical fruit throughout. Creamy medium mouth feel. This is a great NE style DIPA. Can't wait until next year to get it again.

L: pours complete haze in straw yellow color with a small white head that fades fast
S: bright sweet citrus, strawberry, all juices and no pulp / peel. No bitterness on the aroma
T: huge citrus with I think strawberry..there is a welcomed bitter bite at the finish to balance it all out. This is good but not as good as King Sue
F: smooth, with a slightly bitter finish

Nice beer, but truthfully seems run of the mill for TG. Would never turn one down, but never making a special trip for it again either

Well balanced, easy to drink. Bitterness lingers, but isn’t overpowering, just how I like it.

Cloudy, amber color. Small, tight bubbled head produces thick streaks on the glass.

Slightly fruity with a squirt of grapefruit juice. Light pine.

Solid malt base with a creamy full bodied. Light carbonation. The finish gets increasingly bitter resulting in a long bitter aftertaste. Until then, the beer is well balanced.

Drank from a 22 fl oz (1 pint 6 fl oz) bottle purchased at Craft Beer Cellar, Belmont, MA
Bottled on 04/26/18
Served in a teku

Hazy yellow ochre appearance. The liquid was capped by a fluffy, bright white, finger-tall crown that fell to a frothy halo. A few thick streaks of lacing stuck along the glass.

The nose was amazingly hoppy and intense. I could smell the beer as soon as the bottle was cracked. Super juicy and fruity hop notes. Loads of bright citrus. Freshly squeezed orange juice came through strong. Big tropical fruit notes too. Ripe mango and passionfruit were apparent. Good amount of weed-like dankness. Nice malt sweetness. Overall, really punchy and complex with an interesting melding of hop varietals. As the beer warmed, the dank, musty, weedy notes intensified.

The flavor was also fantastically hoppy and fruity. Fresh squeezed orange juice notes dominated. Really ripe and sweet. Some tangerine came through as well. Slightly tangy. Mango appeared in the center. Bit of peach too. Wheaty and lemony on the back end. Slightly raw. Grapefruit took over as the beer moved along the palate. Fairly dry, pithy and rind-like. Bitter, resiny hop notes trailed in the finish.

Fantastic mouthfeel. Lighter bodied and fluffy on the palate. The liquid contained an ultra fine, zippy, tongue blanketing effervescence. Really soft and plush.

Toppling Goliath keep crushing it with their incredible hoppy juice bombs, and Scorpius Morchella is definitely one of the more complex offerings I have yet to try by them. Now, when are those four packs coming?

Pours a hazy golden yellow color. Smell had a garden herb and onion nose. Taste was better very herbal and tropical a bit of pine and citrus, with grassy notes had sweet malts in the finish. Sweet mouth feel with dank hops a dry finish. Liked this but at $11 one will be all i would ever buy.

Growler fill. Hazy sunset gold. White head with lace.

Juicy and tropical. Mango and papaya. Orange. Grapefruit. Earthy. Clean with light bitterness. So much fruit here.

Medium bodied. Hardly any bitterness.

Very awesome IPA from tg. Love the haze.

A - Pale orange body, milky and largely opaque, moderate dense white head, a good coating of fine bubble lacing.

S - Punchy nose of orange, juice and zest, and coarse hop highlights of pine.

T - Lush orange juice, strong malt core, a bit of mint across the middle, and mild bitterness in the finish.

M - Soft on the tongue, easily drinkable, with just a touch of dryness in the close.

O - Strong, solid, bright NEIPA. Delicious.

22oz bottle, shared with my friend, Ken. Opaque pineapple juice colored ale with a creamy off-white head. Zesty aroma of citrus and passion fruit. Flavors are passion fruit galore, lemon-lime, grapefruit zest, and guava. Medium body, zesty and tart, moderately bitter finish. Very good NE style DIPA.
