Had this on 2018-01-21 in Columbia, PA from a 22oz bottle

A - Hazy golden-orange with a 3-finger off-white head that sticks around leaving good lace

S - Peach, navel orange flesh, light pine and light hop-herbal

T - Cracker, orange zest, herbal tea, pepper, peach skin, pine, unusual woody-earthy spice and mild dankness. Finishes appropriately bitter for an APA.

M - Light body and medium carbonation. A little prickly and resinous. Very dry.

O - Very nice although I prefer their Pseudo Sue.

A - nice hazy orange amber beer with a white head that leaves a nice lacing
S - nice peach, hop resin, pine, pineapple, tangerine, bready malts in the background
T - big pine, hop resin, peach, tangerine, orange, citrus peel, bready malts, pith
M - light to medium mouthfeel, alcohol covered, aftertaste is pine, bready malts
O - damn good beer! Good hazy ipa. I'd buy it again. Definitely one you wouldn't want to drink right after something super bitter though.

Opaque orange-yellow with a dense, foamy off-white head leaving tons of creepy layers of cobweb lace.

Smell is orange bubblegum, strawberry, lemon and a hint of eucalyptus.

Taste is more bitter than other TG hops, with some woody pine and biscuit, sharp yeast, then plenty of citric-forward hops, attributing notes of kiwi, lemon, grapefruit and orange.

The medium body has a light carbonation and a dry, almost chewy finish.

Pleasant citrus with a touch of pine and a hint of the citrus rind to come in the aroma. Tall off-white head, thick and bubbly, becomes a lumpy shorter head fairly quickly, and then a cap, leaving thick lacing. Dark orange to grapefruit juice color and clarity (i.e. turbid) with no visible carbonation. Moderately thick feel. Taste is a disappointment. Harsh, almost tart, citrus rind. Seems a bit barnyard funky. The finish is bitter and dry to the point of being astringent.

Thanks to Jeff for this one. 22oz. bomber into Night Shift stemware. Shared with schen9303.

Nose is brown sugar, bark, resin, tree sap and citrus. Sweet and juicy. Beer opens dried leaves, citrus and papaya. Some coarse brown sugar, bark and feelings of Autumn in the middle with a bitter, biting hop presence to finish. This has flavor notes I'm not a huge fan of but somehow it comes together really nicely. Body is light with moderate carbonation. Smooth and quenching in the mouth and soft going down with a messy, wet aftertaste.

A really drinkable beer and one that I could see turning me towards the "brown sugar aggressively hopped" pale ales.

Hazy saturated orange, huge fluffy head with drippy rings of lacing.
Aroma is dank weed and pine oil, fresh cut botanicals, light pale malt.
Firm dandelion green bitterness with a green earthy botanical hop character from the Columbus.
Smooth, creamy, and light bodied. Supple carbonation, moderate bitterness, nice texture.
Overall this is a nice one. I grow Columbus at home and it's nice to try a good commercial beer utilizing them.
It's almost like people forgot what an IPA was before the haze craze, not everything has to be sweet fruit juice.

Pours a light golden color with nice lacing and head. Smell is garden dank citrus and pine . Taste is bitter and danky citrus and tropical notes fail to offset this it finishes dry and bitter. Mouth feel is not pleasant its garden vegetables with pine hop and grass ,it was well carbonated. This X-hop should be classified as dangerous to your taste buds .

22 oz. bomber split with my wife. And no, I’m not buying nearly as many relatively high-priced TG bombers as I used to. To judge by the number I see on shelves, I’m far from alone.

The pour is murky yellow, not maroon; looks like a NE IPA that was stillborn. Nose is serious citrus, honey, & a big patch of weird, funky dankness. Interesting.

Xhops Maroon - #draintheswamp! Solid bitterness & cut grass is interrupted rudely by enough methane from our neighborhood bog to leave me gasping for air. Bit of pine, allspice, & heritage grains (what is a heritage grain, anyways?). Nice & juicy. Pretty easy to sip without slipping my mind into gear.

I must say that any beer with this much dankness that doesn’t engage my upchuck reflex is a triumph of beer engineering. Still. Pretty good beer.

Pours a hazy cloudy orange color. Not thick or NE style-like at all, just very cloudy. Thin off-white head dissipates steadily leaving some spotty foam on top of the beer. Lots of sticky white lacing covers the glass as the beer is consumed.

Smell has notes of orange, grapefruit, lots of grass and dried leaves. For lack of a better term the aroma is pretty earthy with some dank pine notes.

Taste follows the nose with some orange and grapefruit up front that quickly transitions to a vegetal flavor - like broccoli or something. The vegetal flavor is the biggest flavor in this but there is some grass and a woody flavor. Strong bitterness on the finish. This just isn't a pleasant flavor profile - that vegetal flavor is overpowering and just not good.

Feel is medium bodied, somewhat rough. Moderate carbonation provides a hint of a fizzy sensation in the mouth.

Overall a very disappointing beer from the x-hops series. Not sure what is up with this one, but its not very good.

You smell big juicy citrus, but you are surprised how dry and dank it turns out to be. More piney resin than juicy hop bomb. The contrast of the aroma to taste had me suprised in almost a good way. We are all overly critical of TG because of the catalog they have....but lets be honest, another fantastic brew here.

Poured from 22oz bottle into glass. No bottling date found.
Hazy orange body with two finger white head settles to thick cap, scattered lacing. Pretty.
Dank piney and tropical hop smell.
Dry, dank and piney taste. Not at all juicy. Not a real expansive IPA taste profile. Dry and abrupt end.
Clean and coating mouth feel.
An interesting clean, dry, dank IPA experiment. Appearance is the best aspect to this beer.

A bomber with no apparent date that I recently purchased in Iowa. Pouring in a 12oz. tulip for the review.

Look- Pours a cloudy dark gold/orange producing a thick finger of creamy white foam. A little lacing is left as it settles.

Smell- Orange zest, floral, mango, mild pineapple and malt.

Taste- Orange zest, grapefruit and floral up front. There's something vegetal and herbal tasting in the beginning that subsides after a glass.

Feel- Starts slightly creamy and finishes crisp and dry.

Overall- A good enough beer, but I'm left feeling a little underwhelmed. The beer landscape today spoils us with better choices and value in my opinion. Try one and decide for yourself.

Hazy orange color with a finger of dense head. Heavy lacing is left down the glass. Aroma that is slightly dank but packed with citrus, earth, and pine. Flavor is earthy with citrus and pine results in a nice flavor combination. Slightly juicy. Nice texture and carbonation for a lighter pale ale. Whatever hop this is, I like it.

Poured from a 22 oz. bottle into a chalice.

Appearance: Pours a hazy golden orange. Moderate amount of bubbles and a solid finger of white head that settles into a thin patchy layer.

Smell: A juicy and earthy hop forward aroma with a scent of citrus and pine. Citrus hop scent of orange peel, grapefruit, tangerine, papaya, and mango. Earthy hop scent of pine and grass. Malt scent of caramel, grains, and cracker with some yeast. A pretty good aroma.

Taste: Like it smells, a juicy and earthy hop forward taste with notes of citrus and pine. Citrus hop notes of grapefruit, orange peel, tangerine, papaya, and mango. Earthy hop notes of grass and pine resin. Background malt notes of caramel, grains, and cracker along with yeast. A pretty good taste.

Mouthfeel: Medium bodied with a moderate amount of carbonation. Juicy, oily, and drying.

Overall: Another very good version of XHops. Big ripe juicy and earthy hop flavor.

Pours to a hazy dark straw appearance with a nice two finger head that leaves sticky lacing. Smell is somewhat muted - earthy pine is about all I get. Taste is sort of muted too with some earthy dankness and grain. Feel is what you'd expect. Overall this is better than Teal (not saying much) but nowhere near Pink, Silver or Gold. Is TG running out of XHOPS bullets?

Bottle shared by Khalil. Thanks man.

Hazy yellow body with a thick white cap. Aromas of canary melon, peach. Fruitiness atop a robust malt bill. Light to medium body with moderate bitterness. Solid.

Hazy burnt golden orange. White head with lace.

I liked this better than the two xops they released on tap with this one. This was a bottle that I let sit for a week or two before opening.

A bit more juicy, tropical, and overall more flavorful than the other two. Papaya and grapefruit citrus. Some bitterness, but fairly light. A bit floral.

Cloudy golden with a creamy white head that leaves a wet but complete lacing. Nose is piney gone earthy finished with grassy. Taste follows suit, but favors the pine, right down to the resiny and dry finish. Drinkable? This bastard never had a chance of living past a few minutes, as all 22 ounces went down like water. I mean geez, this thing was just about the slickest, most satisfying thing I've drank in years. Seriously stupid

Absolutely one hundred percent garbage offering from Toppling Goliath. This beer is what happens when a brewery gets so wrapped up in their own hype that they thing they can slap a label on anything.

650ml bottle, served in a Toppling Goliath goblet. Pours a medium orange body, hazy in clarity, one finger thick white head and lots of lacing. Fair retention. Smell is melon, grapefruit, light caramel, grain. It's solid as far as aroma goes, the melon characteristic is fairly potent. That being said, on the flavour side of things, the melon isn't there at all. There is a bit of light grainy sweetness, a bit of biscuit, caramel. The hop doesn't really seem to contribute much in way of flavour. Still tasty. Mouthfeel is medium bodied, good carbonation, slightly creamy, light non-descript astringent bitterness on the backend. Not my favourite Xhops colour, certainly.

L- Pours a murky, dark, orange with a thinner, white head.
S- Smells of candied grapefruit, orange and melon.
T- More malt forward than I expected. the citrus hops is of the softer melon and orange variety. Just a little piney resin sticks around and makes it a nice experience. Some type of spice shows up as well.
F- Parts come together well resulting in quite a unique mouthfeel.
O- Good experimental hop beer.

Very nice cloudy look. Smells of earthiness with just a pungent sweet smell coming through. Someone mentioned it tasted like a dilited spree(candy) and it does. Taste like a spree if the tartness of candy was replaced with bitterness of hops. Not the best thing I've had from TG but for an experimental beer, it's far better than many breweries best offering.

Poured from 22-ounce "bomber" into an oversized tulip glass. Appearance is a grapefruit juice-like turbid bright yellow, with a rather tentative pour yielding a thick, long-lasting snow white head that left quite a bit of spotty lacing. Aromas and flavors of light crackery malt and bright orange and grapefruit, with an earthy, herbal overtone. Brewer's notes claim 60 IBU for the XHOP series, and they're all here in this version. Lots of pleasant bitterness that lingers on the palate long after the beer is gone. Aftertaste has a slightly sweet note of fresh orange juice as well. Overall, another outstanding offering from Toppling Goliath.
