Notes: Pouring a seductively red hue, with aromas reminiscent of cinnamon crusted cherry pie; this kettle sour treat is both tart and sweet. No pits about it, just the cherry on top, bottom and middle.

Pours very beautiful translucent crimson red with a huge white head that settles into a nice cap with plenty of lacing left on the glass. The smell is less intense than expected but it's dominated by sour cherries with just a touch of a cinnamon smell. The taste is truly amazing. It's got an intense sweet Cherries with a subtle cinnamon. It goes down super smooth. My review cannot do the taste of this one the justice it deserves. One of the best fruited sours I've ever had.

16oz can into a pint glass. Canned 2/17/21, so couple months old.

Looks very good in the glass. Light maroon colored body with a decent off white head. This shrinks to a fat ring and covering, leaving a sheen of lacing.

Cherry aroma of course, with a featherlight cinnamon touch.

On tasting, strong cherry flavor, and the beer is sweet, tart, and sour in a pleasing blend. The cinnamon weaves in and out.

Mouth full, finish sweet tart.

Overall, very enjoyable beer. Flavors are strong, but not overdone. An actual pie crust flavor would have knocked this one out of the park.

Pours an effervescent chablis color with 2+ fingers of billowy pinkish head. Below average head retention & lacing

S: Some cherry

T: Sweet/tart cherry with a little red currant, certainly reminds me of cherry pie, swear I can taste the crust, just a little dryness up front. Tartness is winning as this warms, sweet cherry & dryness is there too. Finishes sweet & tart, beautiful

MF: Medium body, fairly firm carbonation

Wish this had the nose to match the flavor, still a great Sour offering with great drinkability

In celebration of all-things-cherry, Toppling Goliath takes us on a trip down Memory Lane, taking us back to grandma's kitchen and those tart cherry pie memories, but this time its put into a beer glass.

Pouring a striking crimson, red and maroon hue, Cherry Fandango builds a loose and frothy cap while the juiciness of ripe dark cherries tease the nose with reckless fruit aromatics. Hints of candy and cream decorate the scent while a vinous spice and a slight savory character take the fruit in a pie-like direction. Following up on its scent, the first sip is sweet with cherry glaze, hard candy, soda and pie crust as its malty upstart is firm but understated.

But the star of the show are the cherries as they billow into a full, radiant and juicy pitted fruit flavor. Moderately sour and firmly tart, the cherries are both bracingly acidic and robust for depth and complexity. As the cream candy and toasted malts fade, the tartness invites nuances of red wine and cider to add balance to the full fruitiness and a sweet linger onto the late palate.

Medium bodied and trending slightly dry and peppery, the off-sour ale shows a hint of cinnamon late as its juicy and glaze-like character gives way to cherry soda, bubbly brightness and a radiant series of cherry echoes. Grandma's cherry pie never drank so good.

Sampled on draught at the Brass Tap, Cedar Falls, IA; served in a snifter. Clear, light ruby-colored pour, with a reddish-tinged white head that settled within a moment or two. Huge aromas and flavors of - surprise! - tart cherry, with undertones of warm spice. Not too sweet, with tartness/sourness dominating the profile. Light bodied, with a crisp finish and little lingering sourness. Overall, nothing to complain about with this one. Well crafted, lip-smackingly delicious.

16oz. can into a Brooklyn Brewery snifter.

Great color. Not much else though. Nose is cherry juice and cherry syrup. Simple but to the point. Beer opens sweet and slightly tart cherry juice. I get cinnamon, brown sugar, syrup, and sweet dried plum in the middle. Tart cherry finish. This one's solid. Body is light with ample carbonation. Prickly and lively on the palate and goes down puckering, almost zesty. Lingering, filmy finish.

More of a fruit beer than anything, this one's solid for what it is. A to-the-point cherry beer.

Poured into a tulip.

Pours just a shade lighter than ruby red and slightly hazed (but only slightly) with a really great foamy head.

Solid but natural cherry aromas tinged with some malic/lactic acidity.

The brew hits the tip of the tongue with initial pie-sweet cherry flavor before lactic acidity sweep in to balance everything, braced by a little lemony citrus. Make no mistake--this is a cherry flavored brew all of the way, and it is pretty balanced for a sour.

Somewhat fuller in body than expected, it's still pretty drinkable thanks to the acidity and strong but not overwhelming carbonation.

Fruited beers can definitely be hit or miss. This is one of the best I've had, especially recently, when the only good ones I've had have been a bit boozy. Not this one.

Proof that a great pastry sour can be achieved while remaining clear. Wonderfully deep red with pink head.

Cherry Jell-O smell. Real cherry

Sweet, sour, complex. In the sweet side with a hefty tart foundation. Cherry Pie in a glass

Medium bodied and more viscous than expected. A touch of sweet sticky lingers, which I don’t totally enjoy

This is a fine example of a pastry/smoothie sour. Extra impressive that is so dang clear. Beautiful

Canned 3 weeks ago.

Pours deep red with a persistent ring of pink-white head.

The nose reminds me of cherry yogurt, and the taste follows. Layers of cherry flavor. Opens medium-sweet and syrupy and finishes tart. The tartness gives off some lemon vibes, but cherry is the star of the show.

The mouthfeel opens medium+ for the style and finishes lightly dry.

Overall, good. Big cherry flavors, bordering on too sweet for me, but the tart finish really reigns things in. A worthy kettle sour.

16oz can. Label calls this 'CHERRY FANDANGO Cherry Kettle Sour Beer'. Can bottom is stamped 'PKG02/17/21'.
Clear cherry red colored body. Pinkish head settles to partial cap. Leaves a few scattered spots of lacing.
Aroma of cherry and lemon.
Taste is very expressively cherry, including a little skin but no pit. The end of the profile expands this beyond a medicinal expression. A balance of sweet and slightly tart.
Medium mouth feel, with a syrupy touch. Very good carbonation.
Still a limited, for depth, kettle sour but the cherry tastes like true fruit and not from a medicine bottle.

Pours a reddish color, with not much head. Very sweet and dry cherry aroma. Flavor is sweet, a little tart, but full of natural and dry cherry flavors. Good thick body. Overall, fruit and sweet heavy, lots of cherry flavors.

Pours reddish with white head.
Smell is a lot of cherry and light funk.
Flavor follows. Cherry is very aggressive but yet delicious. I could drink s couple of these. This is one of the best fruited beers I’ve ever had.
Finish is t too sweet either. Finishes slight tart but not aggressive.

Sampled in the tap room. Not really beer but more like juice. Made me wish I tried the regular dragon. Im not really experienced in sour beer at this point, I think I probably like them, just have to try more of them. This one is very very fruity, Tanya even like it which she never liked any of the other fruity beers I asked her to try before.

5oz draft pour. looks like ocean spray cranapple juice in the glass with a tiny bit of white foam. smell is cherry in a medicinal type way. not my favorite aroma. taste is similar. too much robitussin. feel is watery thin. this is not nearly as good as regular dragon fandango. none of the tropical fruits shine and it’s just all cherry cough medicine ocean spray juice. refreshing for sure, but i preferred regular dragon.
