Notes: Citra Hops give King Sue its bold flavors of mango, orange and pineapple. This double dry-hopped version packs even more flavor into each bottle.

Drank on tap at Lulu’s Allston, Allston, MA
Served in a tulip

Fantastic appearance. The cloudy, straw yellow body was capped by a finger-tall, tight, bubbly crown that slowly dropped to a lasting collar. A wall of patchy lacing trickled along the sides of the glass and stuck around until the beer was almost finished.

The aroma was outstanding. Fruity hop notes leapt from the glass. Ripe peach came through big time. Peach purée perhaps. Loads of juicy mango too. There was a nice honey-like sweetness as well. Bit of generic tropical fruitiness. Possibly guava and/or papaya.

The flavor profile was also really impressive but more citrus forward. Juicy orange notes led things off. Some peach and mango appeared as the beer moved along the palate. Tangerine came through on the back end. Slightly tart and tangy. White grapefruit was noticeable on the finish. Hint of pithy bitterness.

Excellent full bodied mouthfeel. Creamy, slick and smooth on the palate. The liquid contained a finely bubbled, moderate effervescence that fluffed up beautifully.

Toppling Goliath predated many of the better NEIPA breweries in the country, and Double Dry-Hopped King Sue is proof that they are still masters of the game. I would put this up against any of the best offerings by Tree House, Trillium, etc.

Pours thick hazy orange white head.
Smell is that great TG citrus hop with something that is reminiscent of the early days of TG. Almost Spicy in a non spicy way.
Flavor is awesome with the same smells transferring.
Delish
Finishes just dry enough. But still balanced and sweet.
Great beer

Pours a murky golden straw color with a fresh white head, Smell is citrus pineapple mango and papaya.. Taste has delicious citra hops very pungent and herbal that feature pineapple and mango ,a good bit tropical citrus. Mouth feel is dry with loads of citra in the finish. Delicious DDH version of the King actually the herbal notes and citra hops reminds me of the OG P Sue from 8-10 years ago ,well done.

Pours a vibrant hazy golden yellow, smell includes juicy pineapple, and some dank, weedy characteristics from the intense dry-hopping. Tastes follows suit with that pineapple. Has noticeably more green hop bite than the regular KS. Mouthfeel is not lacking at all. Creamy. A treat to have. A great Citra showcase.

On tap in a snifter at Three Cellars in Menomonee Falls, WI. Pours a cloudy orange yellow, completely opaque. Huge nose that can be smelled without getting close. Upon closer inspection, notes of mango, pineapple, citrus and a little pine. Very juicy with mostly mango and pineapple on the sip without being overly sweet. A little thinner bodied than I like for the style but doesn't really detract from an otherwise great beer.

Poured from a bottle. Pours extremely hazy with significant head - looks almost like a glass of orange juice. Strong citrus aroma. Not particularly bitter or sweet - strikes a great balance. This is a great IPA.

Bottle. White head. Hazy sunset orange.

Lots of pineapple. Mango and orange. Very tropical and juicy, but not the flavor blast I was expecting. It’s good, but with all the hype, I was a bit confused. Solid, but nothing out of this world.

16.9oz bottle served in a tulip. Bottled 11-22-19. Gift from @mr-jj.

Pours super hazy, big head that fades moderately slowly and leaves some interesting webwork lacing. No doubt, this is a pretty beer. Smell is citrus and juicy. Smells really good.

Taste is right there with it -- citrus (very pithy). Juice, but not overly sweet. Nice resinous finish.

Mouthfeel is dry and surprisingly light. Overall, this is really good.

Cloudy straw color with significant white head that dissipates slowly. Aroma is a nice grapefruit. Taste is a milder grapefruit than the aroma suggests.
