Notes:
Citra Hops give King Sue its bold flavors of mango, orange and pineapple. This double dry-hopped version packs even more flavor into each bottle.

look: 3.75 | smell: 4.5 | taste: 4.25 | feel: 4.5 | overall: 4.5
Bottled on 8/11/20
Pours an opaque, dark lemon-gold body capped with two fingers of rocky, soapy, white foam; solid head retention accents thin veil of splotchy caps, a slight, frothing collar, and a limited smattering of spotty lacing spread thinly around the glass.
Aroma shows raw, prickly hop resin bursting forth into a flowing array of moss and grass to a comprehensively quaffable tropical zest profile; dank eucalyptus ushers in waves of tangerine, peach, and pureéd mango, with red berry and musty gooseberry accents.
Taste opens with zesty peach, mineral-rich dirt, mango, apricot pith, and papaya rinds for a fast-paced, dominant, earthy-tropical interplay; hints of pineapple fade over the mid-palate as light garlic and rye bread contribute to an earthy lingering with accents of resin and mossy tones to close.
Mouthfeel brings a bright, medium body and a prickly, moderate carbonation; a gentle hop acidity balances the mid-palate as a slightly juicy texture evolves in the backdrop; a more rounded resinous note prevails on the back end and through the finish, with a bitter bite meeting a succinct hoppy char on the swallow.
An undoubtedly complex layout of hops, digging deeply into the raw and earthy as much as the lush and fruity, resulting in an incredibly layered presentation of detail at once stifling and embracing the palate; in the end, a remarkably approachable DNEIPA peaking at the upper tiers of the style.

Pours thick hazy orange white head.
Smell is that great TG citrus hop with something that is reminiscent of the early days of TG. Almost Spicy in a non spicy way.
Flavor is awesome with the same smells transferring.
Delish
Finishes just dry enough. But still balanced and sweet.
Great beer

Pours a murky golden straw color with a fresh white head, Smell is citrus pineapple mango and papaya.. Taste has delicious citra hops very pungent and herbal that feature pineapple and mango ,a good bit tropical citrus. Mouth feel is dry with loads of citra in the finish. Delicious DDH version of the King actually the herbal notes and citra hops reminds me of the OG P Sue from 8-10 years ago ,well done.

Pours a vibrant hazy golden yellow, smell includes juicy pineapple, and some dank, weedy characteristics from the intense dry-hopping. Tastes follows suit with that pineapple. Has noticeably more green hop bite than the regular KS. Mouthfeel is not lacking at all. Creamy. A treat to have. A great Citra showcase.

On tap in a snifter at Three Cellars in Menomonee Falls, WI. Pours a cloudy orange yellow, completely opaque. Huge nose that can be smelled without getting close. Upon closer inspection, notes of mango, pineapple, citrus and a little pine. Very juicy with mostly mango and pineapple on the sip without being overly sweet. A little thinner bodied than I like for the style but doesn't really detract from an otherwise great beer.

Taste is pungent with dankness as well. Powerful flavor.
Smooth with some hop burn.
Overall, it’s the favorite of the sue family I’ve had so far.

Poured from a bottle. Pours extremely hazy with significant head - looks almost like a glass of orange juice. Strong citrus aroma. Not particularly bitter or sweet - strikes a great balance. This is a great IPA.

Bottle. White head. Hazy sunset orange.
Lots of pineapple. Mango and orange. Very tropical and juicy, but not the flavor blast I was expecting. It’s good, but with all the hype, I was a bit confused. Solid, but nothing out of this world.

16.9oz bottle served in a tulip. Bottled 11-22-19. Gift from @mr-jj.
Pours super hazy, big head that fades moderately slowly and leaves some interesting webwork lacing. No doubt, this is a pretty beer. Smell is citrus and juicy. Smells really good.
Taste is right there with it -- citrus (very pithy). Juice, but not overly sweet. Nice resinous finish.
Mouthfeel is dry and surprisingly light. Overall, this is really good.
