Been a while since a new TG brew hit the shelves around here. Not a big sour guy, but I respect TG so I gave it a shot. The beer really captures the dessert. Very fruity, delicious, and has the necessary creaminess. Slightly sour to wrap up thr package

This IS the most unique beer ever!!! Have you ever had Cap'n Crunch Crunch berry cereal? Now add this nose, taste, mouth feel experience with alcohol. Jimi Hendrix asked " Have you ever been experienced?". If you haven't tried this beer you haven't!

Deep red as expected with little to no head. Nice carbonation. Nose is everything in the name, strawberry and shortcake. Same for the taste, all the flavors hit seemingly at different times. Full flavors of all appear. Good stuff for a fluff and stuff beer.

Pours an effervescent Chablis color with 2+ fingers of pink head. Zero head retention & lacing
S: Smells as advertised
T: Vanilla, strawberries, cakeyness, dryness & a little tartness up front. More of the same as this warms, tartness & dryness start to win a little as this warms. Finishes with plenty of strawberry shortcake, a little tartness
MF: Medium body with delicate carbonation, a little sticky
Delivers as promised, strawberry shortcake in a can

When was the last time that a beer gave you the same lip-smacking, savory sweet and tart brilliance as grandma's strawberry pie? It was probably when Toppling Goliath made a beer according to her recipe.
Strawberry Shortcake Fandango kicks off with a surprisingly bright berry-red pour. As its creamy meringue releases, it provides a racy froth with dry structure. A tantalizing and perfumy strawberry scent strikes the olfactory senses immediately. Laced with the confectioner's sweet cream scent, vanilla and graham cracker, and the dessert influences are felt on the senses immediately. Deliciously smooth, the vanilla cream, shortcake underpinnings and berry glaze flavors round into a bright dessert taste early and often on the palate.
As the beer saturates the middle palate, its sweetness starts to relax and the beer's sourness starts to clean up the sticky sweetness. Lemon, lime, passionfruit and gooseberry all tighten the grip of tartness and highlight the strawberry's more radiant and fresher characteristics while providing a sense of refreshment despite its richer upstart. Lightly peppery, sour and crisp, the late taste remains creamy and soothing despite drying wonderfully.
Full bodied, especially to start, the beer beer finishes malty-dry with a snappy closure. A linger of strawberry soda persists while the acidity strips the palate of unnecessary thirst for a medium length finish and a long afterglow of strawberry perfume. It's a wonderful but sipping sour ale with strong smoothie overtones.

On tap. Pink head. Clear ruby color.
Strawberry shortcake kool aid with alcohol in it. Sugary sweet. Sticky. Dessert beer. It’s delish, but hard to call this beer. At least it’s not a Jamba Juice. This is refreshing.
