Pilsner brewed with simplicity and true to old-world traditions and ingredients. Egg white foam on a crisp, clear, golden and mostly crushable beer. Floral, fruity and slightly herbal hints from Hallertau Mittelfruh hops.

Purchased a single at J's in Athens.
LOOK: Pours a very lightly colored pale straw yellow with a very bubbly and loosely formed all white head that dissipates quickly but does leave side glass lace.
AROM: Peppery German hops, wet dough.,
TASTE: Nice balance of the aforementioned hops and malts. The finish is dry, grassy with good carbination. The body is light, crisp, smooth and easy to drink.
An excellent Pilsner.

12oz can. Poured out a clear, straw-yellow color with a small, white head of foam. It left thin rings of lace on the glass. It smelled of bread crust, caramel and floral notes. It tasted of caramel, toffee and a light citrusy bite.

12oz can poured into a SA glass

A- pours a pale clear straw color with a two-finger foamy and frothy head that has great retention after the pour

S- bready and doughy malt on the nose, followed by honey, peppery German hops grass and a hint of lemon

T- peppery and grassy hope up front are followed by some doughy and crackery malt at the mid-palate. The finish gives honey, lemon, grass and more doughy malt on the linger

M- light body with medium carbonation leads to a foamy mouthfeel that continues into a crisp finish

Bright clear golden yellow color with a respectable white head.
The aroma is fresh bread, fresh mown grass and a touch of lemon.
The taste is crisp crackers, grass and lemon. The finish is dry with lingering grassy, peppery notes. The body is light, plenty of carbonation, crisp yet smooth and very drinkable.
Altogether, this is an outstanding Pilsner, very tasty and refreshing. Everything that a Pils should be. Very nice.

Very clear and yellow in color. Head was bright white and frothy. Nose was zesty, like fresh zested lemons. Taste was only slightly malty, expected more. Odd aftertaste on backend.

Hop heads rejoice! Even Toppling Goliath's Bavarian-styled pilsner has a propensity for the bitter. The pieces and parts of Southern German lagers are all there but their proportions favor the spicy, herbal and peppery hops.

Briskly bright and medium gold, TG Pils teems with bubbles as a fluffy stark white head forms. As its scent of peppery herbs, dried grasses, hay and dough drift across the nose, the first sip leads with a crisp cracker-like maltiness an a sweeter sense of cereal and honeysuckle.

As the bubbles break up the malts, a dryness sets in on the middle palate and allows for a full hop flavor to usher in the taste of grassy, peppery herbs, hay, tea, lemon peel, verbena and a hint of apple. As the session continues to dry, the bitterness stands out in the finish as a peppery and grassy bite hits the back of the throat in nearly IPA fashion.

Light, crisp and refreshing, the dryness of the lager showcases the more vegetal spices of the hops and leads to a less clean finish than those of classic German counterparts. Perfect for pizzas and other more robust Italian dishes, TG Pils was just too bitey to fully enjoy on its own.

Appearance: Pours a completely clear, light and pale yellow/white color with a strong and bubbling white head. SRM of 4-6. (4.00)

Aroma: Lemon citrus upfront. Briefly. Then some yeast and pale Munich malts. Clean yeast lingers. (4.00)

Flavor: Strong flavors of lemon citrus and bread upfront. Then it's followed by a yeast and floral flavor. Cleans the palate and a moderate floral bitterness lingers. Clean and dry, yeasty finish with a moderate bitterness. (4.00)

Feel: Lighter bodied, strong carbonation and yeast. Yeasty, clean, dry finish. (4.25)

Compared to Fair State Pils 12/2023: Pours identical. Similar aromas and flavors, nearly identical, but slightly more yeasty and carbonated.

Overall: Pours extremely light, pale and clear. Light on the body too. Citrus, floral and clean. A nice moderate bitterness. Very nice, just a bit too high on the bitterness. I think this is a strong step up from their Dorothy's New World Lager. Overall, a very clean and drinkable German Pils. (Rating: 4.03)

have had this on draft once before but this review is for a crowler filled 1/21/23 and consumed 1/27/23. poured from a 32oz crowler into a TG standard pint glass. pours your typical straw gold lager with a minimum amount of bright white foam (this crowler is almost a week old). earthy hops and some lager yeast on the nose and taste. little touch of lemon and hay. full mouthfeel with a little lower level of carbonation than i might associate with the style. i think TG knocked this one out of the park!

Medium gold, with tiny bit of head. Subtle, floral/herbal aroma, with a little bitterness and some yeasty, light toast malt. Ample floral/yeasty flavors, with the lightly caramelized, light toast malt, shining along with the hops. A bit of a creamy mouthfeel, early on. Finishes very well, with the light caramel malt and floral hops, balancing out together, with the lightest of hop bites, for a pilsner. Well done!

Brilliantly bright gold, bright white head that leaves lace. German-style for sure, but Americanized with really deep, robust flavor. I'm betting Toppling Goliath utilized German Pilsner malts and Saaz or Hallertau hops, because the taste is straight out of Bavaria, with beautifully balanced and nuanced biscuit flavor. A thoroughly German treat from the USA.
