Notes: The summer of 2019 marked our first collaboration with the barrel-aging legends at Central Waters Brewing Company. In true collaborative spirit, we combined elements unique to each of us, including the opportunity to source bourbon barrels that held B&E’s Trees maple syrup for 15 months. We knew a collaboration project of this magnitude called for it to be brewed at both facilities. For us, the road to Amherst; for them, the road to Decorah. An overnight boil, no adjuncts, and unique casks were the guiding triumvirate for this project. Over two years later and the road fully forged, we invite you to join in the celebration and culmination of this collaboration.

No head, strong aroma, and super oily. Maple is just right, barrell is large and in charge.

This one pours a fairly dark black color, with a small head, and not much lacing.

This smells like bittersweet maple, roasted malt, tobacco, dark chocolate, oak spice, and bourbon.

This is super fantastic. That little kiss of maple from the barrel is pretty perfect - if this was straight up brewed with maple it wouldn't be as good. Although this is the TG version, it very much follows the Central Waters train for barrel aged stout - dry, lots of barrel, roasty, and burly. Since it's Toppling Goliath, however, it's much thicker than the typical Central Waters BA stout.

This is thick, creamy, and rich, with a pleasant warm spicy booze character.

This is a stunner, one of the better barrel aged stouts that I've had in a little bit.

Bomber at share. Inky black pour with a thin brown head, fading to ring. Boozy, sweet roasty aroma leads into flavors of chocolate, coffee, caramel and bourbon. A big beastly sipper.

On tap. No head. Oily black color.

The maple shows a lot, which is crazy as there isn’t any adjuncts. Brown sugar, molasses, fudge, bourbon. Oaky. Raisins. It’s full bodied, but a tad thinner than other TG stouts. Not too noticeable.

Incredibly flavorful. Great Collab.
