New favorite beer?

Hello everyone! Poured out of a 16 oz. can, this beer is superb.

Appearance - Pours a soapy one-finger head. It has a straw-yellow color, similar to Budweiser. By the looks of it, there doesn't seem to be an immense amount of carbonation. Looks like your average, ordinary beer.

Smell - Right off the the bat, I smell a lot of graininess. It has a good smell of breadiness. I think it smells malty, too. I don't really smell any hops.

Taste (most important) - I definitely taste good hops. The hops are NOT overpowering at all. It kind of reminds me of Budweiser, but without the overwhelming adjuncty sweetness of Budweiser, and it has more of a hoppy taste. It is like a crisp, cleaner version of Budweiser. I think it's worth mentioning that it has a 5.5% ABV, which I think is a good achievement.

Mouthfeel - Not overly carbonated and spritzy. It has a little heft to it, but not too much.

Overall - If you want a beer, this is what a beer should taste like. Overall, this is a great overall beer! I think this is my new favorite beer.

From a growler purchased about 50 hours ago filled at Casonova's in Hudson....still perfectly carbonated..

A-Bright golden colored....hazy...nice fluffy white head..

S-Hay...grains....not real assertive on the nose..

T-Loaded with flavor....very bready and sweet with some light lemony citrus notes....does not remind me of a California Common at all but more like a Kellerbier...I can't keep this in my glass it is so tasty...

M-Perfect....rounded and smooth....perfect weight...not watery at all but not heavy....

O-One of my favorite easy drinking beers of all-time. A keg of this at a summer pool party would be perfect. I could drink this every day for the rest of my life. I really, really like this one.

Clear light gold color with white cap.

Aroma of sweet malt and floral hops with a touch of light citrus.

Flavor on entry is rich, slightly sweet malt followed by clean floral hops with a hint of rounded, not sharp, citrus. These simple flavors work in harmony and remain consistent into the aftertaste.

Medium texture with balancing carbonation.

A rather nice change of pace from IPAs and other strongly flavored craft styles. I gave out tasting samples to a couple of grad students who proclaimed it better than PBR. Theirs is a limited perspective, certainly, but an honest one.

Pours clear, gold in color with half inch head. Taste is bready malt, grass, and caramel. Light bodied, moderate carnonation, and sweet. Tastes like a pilsner. Tasty easy to drink summer brew. First Toppling Goliath brew for me and it has me curious about more of their brews.

L: Pours an energetic gold with a white to cream colored foam cap that completely disappears after a minute and a half. S: Spicy, grainy, minty hop aromas joined by light bread rise from the glass. T: A prickly entrance gives way to grain and malt flavors with traces of apple and sulfur that open the door to an assertive hop bitter finish. F: Sparkly, prickly, lively, with a medium light body. O: Crisp and refreshing and packed with flavor.

Poured from a 22 oz. bottle into a tall pint glass.

Appearance: Pours a bright and fairly hazy straw golden orange with a lot of rising bubbles. About one finger of white head that slowly fades into a thin patchy layer. Leaves a lot of lacing.

Smell: A bready and fairly sweet malt forward aroma with good hints of grains and biscuit. Pale malt with hints of bready biscuit, grains, straw, cracker, and yeast. Fairly earthy with some hints of grassy hops. Zesty hints of lemon fruit. A nicely crisp and bready light lager aroma.

Taste: Like it smells, a crisp, bready, and fairly sweet malt forward taste with good notes of grains and biscuit. Upfront pale malt with notes of grains, biscuit, cereal, wheat, straw, cracker, and lager yeast. Earthy hop background with notes of grass. Citrus fruit notes of lemon. A pretty solid light lager taste.

Mouthfeel: Light to medium bodied with a moderate amount of carbonation. Crisp and very smooth with a fairly dry finish.

Overall: A pretty solid take on a light pale lager style. Nice crisp grainy malt notes with some light citrus notes.
