Poured from a tall can into a tulip.

Pours hazy/cloudy orange-gold with a nice fluffy head, solid retention and good lacing. It looks every bit an NEIPA.

The nose is hit with ruby red grapefruit, orange, pineapple, lemon, lime, mango, and white pepper.

The brew is well balanced between solid malt sweetness and citrus hop bitterness, with plenty of white stone fruit and tropical fruits as well.

Well balanced, medium-full bodied. It is creamy, yet well-carbonated and moderately crisp.

An excellent NEIPA.

I'm trying a can of this beer at my good friend and old neighbor from Oswego house. It poured a hazy orangish with white head that is leaving some lace. The scent had dank tropical fruit notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with tropical fruit presence. The mouthfeel was medium in body with good carbonation. Overall its a solid beer.

This is as good as King Sue, actually I have hard time telling the difference other that it kinda settles down the glass over time. So this is a worthy replacement if King Sue is not available ! Awesome

Pours hazy cloudy dark orange. Has a bunch of floatys that settle at the bottom.
Smell is sweet cotton candy and some fruit like pineapple.
Taste is rather sweet fruit with a bitter finish. Nothing specific. Body is a little dense but yet drinkable.
This beer is pretty good but doesn’t showcase Galaxy like I would expect. It’s pretty ugly too with all of the floaters.

16oz canned on 12-9-19, best before 4-7-20. Opened 1-10-20.
Huge 3 finger white head cresting out of the glass like an ice cream cone. Pale golden color, not opaque nor clear through. TONS of carbonation racing up the beer wildly. Thick foamy lacing.
Pineapple - initially very soft perfumey pineapple and then turns into pineapple with garlic and a sharper aroma. Pineapple-mango salsa.
Citrus - tropical fruits, pineapple leading with some strong herbal notes following. Gritty malt base is apparent after the hop attack.
Medium body, soft mouthfeel. Long finish of hops first and then a gritty, grainy malt later....mild but persistent bitterness.
Good - 3 more to make the final call on this one. Potentially over carbonated? Good but not great.

Pours a murky hazy orange color with a dense two-finger off-white head that chases the beer down your glass. A citrus explosion of aromas whets your hop appetite, and the taste confirms that you have indeed jumped into middle of a juicy citrus hop vat, with loads of pineapple, orange, grapefruit, mango, and passion fruit flavors to scratch your hop itch.

Really well done by TG.

16 oz can poured into an imperial can-shaped glass.

Extra hazy gold. 1 finger of creamy white head.

Peach, blueberry, pineapple, dank, mango, and candy sugar.

Extremely dank. Sappy pine, eucalyptus, and aloe vera. Peach juice, pineapple, blueberry, and mango, Smooth candy sugar and honey maltiness.

Medium-light bodied, smooth, creamy, crisp, juicy, and offdry with a medium-light bitterness.

Fantabulous! Suitably dank and modestly tropical.

16oz can. Poured out a slightly cloudy, golden orange color with a good-sized, off-white head of foam. It smelled of grapefruit, pineapple and toffee. Sweet tropical fruitness with toasted caramel and a sharp bitterness.

16oz can into a pint glass. Canned 12/13/19, so a mere 3 weeks old.

Looks superb in the glass. Standard TG cloudy dull orange body. Really big white foamy head which persists throughout leaving layers of lacing.

Aroma of orange and pineapple. Very faint mustiness.

Upon tasting, delicious tropical citrus
and non citrus taste, mildly bitter, appears to have a strong malt background. Galaxy hops used very well. Tasty drink.

Mouth full and soft, finish a warm fruity hoppiness.

Overall, all these TG ipas, neipas, pales, and dipas do taste somewhat similar. But it's a damn good taste range.

16 oz, just canned 12 days ago in Iowa, and now poured into my Pokal pint glass here in PA... Fresh!

Great appearance, with an unfiltered, cloudy body and tons of sticky lacing.

Aromas are faint, but dank and tropical.

Flavors are more astringent than I had hoped for, with plenty of old orange peel and pineapple rinds. A bit too much vegetal aftertaste is what kept this from being “worth the price tag” for me.

Fantastic head production and retention; nearly three fingers of firm white head from a moderate pour, and very, very slowly and unevenly dying. No room for a second pour several minutes after the first. Pulpy bright orange body; very lively.

Bright hoppy nose, with a creamy malt base. Tangerine, candied orange, bright Italian herbs, pineapple, cream, honey, flowers.

Incredibly juicy on the palate, with similar notes as on the nose. Orange and pineapple are prominent, as well as cream and honey.

Smooth and lively; medium-to-full bodied.

16oz can served in a big snifter. Gift from @mr-jj. Packaged 06/17/19, best by 10/15/19. Normally, because it's outside of the clearly marked "best by" date and well beyond my personal three month "best by" date for IPAs, I wouldn't review it. But, this beer is still pretty solid -- which you should count as a plus for it anyway.

Pours super hazy, pale yellow with a medium head. Smell is a little muted, makes me think of citrus pith and unripe mangos.

Taste is pretty juicy, with a moderately crisp bitter bite at the end. Pith is still pretty prevalent.

Mouthfeel is medium bodied. Overall, better than average IPA, even aged longer than I would have liked.

Appearance is murkbombish. Bright and golden with tons of head. Three fingers of bone white head. Aroma is ridiculous. You can smell the pineapple and overripe citrus fruits as soon as you open the can. There is also an earthy element and a little hit of some cheese @CanConPhilly
Taste is dominated by the overripe citrus fruits; pineapple, mango, grapefruit and a little piney bitterness at the end. Oooh I see you funky peach sneaking in on the finish. Mouthfeel is moderately thick and pretty creamy. Overall this is outstanding and I haven’t had any beers from TG that I’ve been disappointed in.

Mucho thx to tacosandbeer for these cans. Canned on 6/17/19.

A - Very hazy to almost opaque yellow tan color with moderate soapy white lacing that sticks to the sides of the glass.

S - Somewhat faded citrus, acidic orange, overall the aroma is muted.

T - Faded orange and citrus with slight spiciness, a little bit of fruit rind, peppery spice, and pine resin bitterness on the very back end.

M - Chewy, thick , and viscous with some nice soft texture on the palate.

O - Held up fairly well for being two months old. Will re-visit this one, totally over-rated IMO.

Aroma is tropical fruit, sharp citrus, grapefruit, faint pineapple, slight grassy malt aroma.

1 inch+ thick, creamy white head that retains nicely. Thick strings and loops of lacing as it sags a bit in the middle. Yellow-orange hazy color, like a mix of orange and pineapple juice with sparse bubbles visible. Some highly visible white floaties are in the initial pour, with gobs of them in the final pour - again, typical of many TG IPAs.

Feel is medium-thin, somewhat sharp.

A fairly bitter, somewhat piney, start with tropical fruit flavors, but not what I would call "juicy". Flavors of orange, some pineapple, with a nice grapefruit-like bite. Moderate to a bit stronger bitterness throughout all the way to the finish. The brewer states this beer has an IBU of 100, but the hops don't translate that into the perceived bitterness you might expect; moderately bitter, more like a 60-70 or so IBU beer.

Malt presence is grassy but subdued by the hops.

Finish and aftertaste are dry with the moderate bitterness, citrus flavors lingering for short time, eventually fading to nothing but the bitter aftertaste remains. The bitterness in the aftertaste builds as you drink.

I didn't judge this against the NEIPA BJCP guidelines, but if I had, in my view, the main thing "New England" about this beer is the hazy appearance, which has been a characteristic of TG pale ales and IPAs for a decade. The aroma is tropical fruit, for sure, but not tropical fruit juice, and the malts are grassy. The feel is not soft, and is medium-thin, not medium-full; the taste is moderately bitter (not necessarily a disqualifying feature by itself), but the taste is more IPA-citrus-like rather than "juicy", and the finish is dry and, again, moderately bitter.

This is a very good DIPA, but is it mischaracterized by those calling it a NEIPA?

Pint can dated 6/17/19. Very hazy golden with big foamy head. Smell is a little grassy with some citrus fruits. Taste is grassy without much fruit notes, some bitterness in aftertaste. Feel is more watery and not much carbonation. Overall, this was OK but did not match up to my expectations from other reviews. It was refrigerated when I bought it, but maybe it had a shipping mishap in the recent 100 degree heatwave?

Thanks Jessica!
Bottom of the can stamped 06/17/19.
This was poured into a tulip.
The appearance was a fairly bright thick hazy dark yellow color with a finger's worth of white foamy that tries to sustain but ends up falling off after about a minute. Eloquent semi-messy to thick filmy lace coated the glass.
The aroma had some sweet pineapple to citrusy bitter rind with some hop spice and zest, enthralling and rich not to be bargained with.
The flavor richly details the pineapple juice tones infused with orange peel bitterness and a sticky zesty character. Barely any aftertaste but what was there seemed super quick through some pineapple, but that's it. I didn't mind.
The mouthfeel was about medium bodied with a certain kind of sipping quality about it. Low to medium carbonation felt. Juicy to orange peel bitterness in the finish.
Overall, extravagant DIPA! Extremely well designed and more than well worthy of coming back to.

L: Murky golden hue with a three finger beige head with decent retention and lacing.

S: Tropical fruits and minerals.

T: Tropical fruits with difficulty to single one out. Actually tastes like the tropical fruit cocktail I used to find around years ago. Piney bitterness and touch of green onion.

F: Medium body and nice carbonation. Dry and bitter finish.

O: I feel the Galaxy with this brew - very enjoyable.

Picked-up a four-pack of cans at Bradford's in Plymouth for about twenty dollars. My tenth brew from these guys. Very fine brew, amongst the second tier of TG for me (this, FSM, Sosus, Hopsmack), after KS. Unlikely to get again at that price point.

I'd consider myself a fan of TG's IPAs, though I definitely prefer some more than others. Luckily, Galaxy is among the best new-school hops, so I'm psyched to see what they can do with it!

This pours a kind of typical opaque, chalky-looking, dense, orange juice-like color with a ridiculously-huge head of bone-white foam that settles down pretty quickly to about a half-finger, leaving behind a ton of lace and bearing some alright legs once it sinks down. I think if you know TG, you kinda know what you're getting with their IPAs, and this delivers that expectation handily.

The nose consists of the scents of pure pithy grapefruit, mango, and sticky pine resin immediately presenting themselves to my senses. Intense! There's a bit of grassiness and an almost rye-like spice here as well, which lends some character to this very hoppy experience. Passion fruit, guava notes, and pineapple juice are all present here in varying amounts as well. This really smells like a treat... really digging the focus on Galaxy here. It's almost got a Citra-esque element, just with more saturation in just about every way. Very good!

On the tongue, this is nice and smooth with a crazily detailed palate that belies how dirty the beer looks. I kind of expected it to be one-note for some reason, as some NEIPAs I've had lately get a bit homogeneous with all the yeast and the intense hop loads piled into the recipes, but this just stands out. There's a reason TG is well-loved, of course, and I shouldn't have slipped up and forgotten about that... pineapple, orange, tangerine, and passion fruit soaked hop flavors meld perfectly with a deep, balanced maltiness and a slight expression of the 8% ABV which give this a solid score in the realm of drinkability. Mango pulp and more pineapple toward the finish with a slight grassiness that nevertheless leaves nothing sticky or oily on the tongue. Surprisingly crisp and deft finish with a quality that keeps me coming back for more, sip after sip. I think this might be on the same level as King Sue for me, and slightly below my personal favorite TG IPA, MoZee. Great stuff!

16oz can, PKG06/17/19. Opaque pineapple juice colored ale is capped by a tall & frothy off-white head. Zesty tropical fruit aroma hinting at pineapple, passion fruit, and piney mango. Big and bold Galaxy hop flavors accentuating grapefruit, lemon-lime, pineapple, and fresh green hop. Full & creamy body, still quite resinous and has a slight burn on the throat; bitter and zesty finish. Excellent as expected from TG.

16oz can, dated 06.17.19, poured into a 14oz snifter glass.

The beer pours a very hazy golden color, straw and honey hues with a foamy white head that has nice height, good retention and yields a lot of soapy and sticky lacing. The aroma is quite nice, super bright and citrusy with some tropical fruits, floral character and a nice green and raw hop profile. Earthy pine resin, grapefruit peel and a hearty biscuit malt character linger with some mineral water. The flavors are very good, juicy citrus and tropical fruits with a nice floral character before assertive pine resin, raw green hop leaf and grapefruit peel wash over the palate with pleasant bitterness and balance to the sweeter and brighter front palate flavors. The mouthfeel is excellent, coating, creamy medium body that has a nice liveliness to it and finishes with a sharp bitter and dry bite.

Verdict: An excellent Galaxy forward NEIPA from Toppling Goliath. Super green and raw with a nice bright citrus element that is so nicely balanced. Juicy, dank, crisp, refreshing and amply bitter and doesn't fall into the sweetness trap that befalls so many NEIPAs.
