As a bottle shop, the Beer Junction is first rate. Nice organization to their shelves. Well lit, so you can see what you're looking at (unlike another well known bottle shop in town). Very knowledgeable and helpful staff. Typical prices, neither higher nor lower than the norm.

As a beer bar, it's got its pluses and minuses. On the plus side: huge number of taps (I've seen as many as 46 taps running at once), with highly varied assortment of exceptional beers. Four ounce tasters as well as full size servings. Prices are decent ($5 pints of RPM, for example). If you want to drink one of the exceptional bottles from the shelves, they'll pour it for you for a $2 corkage fee, which is a heck of a deal. And their special events are very well thought out ... Pumpkin Junction is exceptional.

The minus: the bar area is quite small, given its popularity. It can be pretty hard to find a spot to put your glass, let alone a chair to sit in, so the place usually feels cramped, crowded, and noisier than some of the competitors.

But it is fun to wander the store, browsing the shelves with your glass of suds in hand. I usually walk out with unplanned buys.

No kids. There are a couple of TVs, but it's not the best place to watch a game.

Beer Junction is amazing, it has a huge tap list plus a bar, they fill crowlers and growlers and they have a bottle shop (you cannot purchase bottles past a certain time even though the bar and crowler/growler-filling are still open.

I like this place because the selection from some of the smaller Seattle breweries, or others outside of Seattle from towns like Bellingham, Redmond, and Yakima.

Beer Junction doesn't serve food, but there are restaurants within the block, or there is a beer bar within a mile or two down California Ave.

It's my happy place. Super friendly and helpful staff. Huge selection, and the key thing is that it is refrigerated. I am always wary of buying dusty unrefrigerated beers. Only places without a TV get a 5 on vibe but otherwise it is perfect.

Of all the bottle shops I visited in the Portland/Seattle area, The Beer Junction is number one! I called them a week before my arrival and asked them to hold a bottle of Parabola. They said they would make my day. The beer selection is unparalleled. Everything is in coolers and separated according to style. The guy behind the counter recommended several bombers in the style that I liked while my purchase kept building and building. After I finished, I went to the bar area and they had just tapped a Freemont 2013 Barrel Aged Abominable (exquisite!). It was like they did it just because I happened to be there, as there were no other customers at the noon hour on a Wednesday. They even provided me with a nice box with separators for all the beers. I highly recommend The Beer Junction. Parking is tough, but worth the effort.

I hit up the Beer Junction last weekend while I was in West Seattle and was duly impressed. There are a handful of these excellent bottle-shop-cum-taprooms in Seattle and, like the others, Beer Junction is a hell of a place. The beers are all organized by style and just about everything is in a refrigerator case, which I like.

I picked up a few bottles that I haven't seen elsewhere around town, and while I might have stayed for a pint the place was absolutely jam-packed on a Saturday afternoon. I will absolutley be coming back here, perhaps on a quieter day, to check out their tap offerings.

This place is awesome, fantastic beers on tap, fantastic bottle selection, customer service is outstanding, prices are reasonable, what more could you ask for? I've gone there and asked about particular beers, got an answer, and as I continued browsing, they sought me out to give me additional information they had thought of or looked up. Everyone who works here is friendly and knowledgeable. Have been here on a couple of occasions and spent some time there on each occasion and never had a reason to think this nothing but a top notch operation. This place is not to be missed in Seattle.

I went here during a recent vacation to the Pacific Northwest.

V: This isn't the most relevant thing to assessing a store's vibe, but they had a parking lot! In Seattle! The parking lot was huge for a visitor, with a car in Seattle. Inside there was a well organized bottle shop with a small bar and a great neighborhood feel.

Ser: I received great service from both the bottle shop staff and the bar staff.

Sel: Seattle is blessed to have several great bottle shops and even though I went to this shop after several others this shop still had some unique offerings.

Overall, one of my favorite bottle shops of our recent trip. If it weren't for our amazing experience at Chuck's Hop Shop, I would be touting this as the best bottle shop in Seattle. i would still highly recommend a visit for anyone in the area.

Very clean and well thought-out organizationally, with as good a beer selection as any place in Seattle, and reasonable pricing on top of that, this may be the best bottle shop in town. If I lived closer to West Seattle, it'd be a regular go-to, without question.
