-clear ruby-amber tap pour with minimal effervescence. The aroma is vinous with sour fruit notes. The flavor is of sour apple, grape and some stone fruit with oak notes. The acid-bitterness is moderate. The body is thin

2011 bottling. This is a remarkably under rated beer in my opinion, although perhaps this site should have it broken down in vintages as are designated on the bottles. Pours a crimson read with little head and a real Italian cookie flavor concentrated cherry nose and flavor profile. The body is medium and perfectly balanced. This is a sweet yet complex and layered beer the likes of which one may not ever have tasted. It is delicious all around.

Ordered on the bartender's recommendation at Bir & Fud in Rome. A relatively clean sour, with a balance of sweet caramel malt and the acidic plum. Overall, well made but not as deep or complex as a great sour.

Appearance: Deep rusty/copper color, almost exactly like a slightly over ripe plum.
Aroma: Plum and Leather
Body: Light bodied, low carbonation
Flavor: Plum and berries followed by tart sourness and some musky wine cellar.
Overall: Unique, different, has its own character about it that I haven't found in too many sours. Brett can be a bit strong, but temperature will have a profound impact on how you perceive it. I certainly am a fan of the plums, so given the opportunity I would buy again.

Hazy plum color with off-white that goes away completely. Aroma has intense fruits. Plums, fermenting apples, apricots along with a musty cellar note. Taste follows with fermented fruits, mustiness, hay, barnyard funk. Body is on the light side, very dry with low carbonation. Really rustic sour ale with intense natural fruit character.
