Cerveza dorada, ligera y de carbonatación media. Aromas débiles herbáceos, cítricos y un poco de lúpulo. En boca es acuosa, con un dejo herbáceo pero fácil de olvidar.

Clear golden pour with a faded ring of white. Aroma is pleasant grassy and bready. Flavor follows for the most part, though quite watery with a slightly metallic note toward the end of the sip persisting into the aftertaste. Smooth nonetheless and quite drinkable.

The Best pilsner type lager from Russia. I'm really surprised. Seems it's thanks to Czech Žatec hops and very soft spring water.
Most Russian and even German beer brands doesn't care much about water, and use simple filtered one.

Took a while to track the name of this beer down, but worth it. Pleasantly surprised at the overall drinkability of this Russian beer. A nice golden/copper color with adequate head, and just enough sharp bitterness to make you take notice. Mild but pleasant smell also...one of the best Russian beers I’ve had.

Pours clear golden color with 1 finger tall medium head leaving much lacing and a lot of rising bubbles. The smell is strange. Like metall, some pilsener hops... The taste is bready. Sweet a little. Not so bad. Too much carbonation.

Beer from the tap in hotel bar, poured clean pale body with low foam. Aromas of malt and hops. Tastes of hops and grains. Feels low carbonation. Overall below average, although I did manage a second pint.

This Russian lager pours with a clear golden color and a quiet weak white head. The smell is unpleasantly skunky. Besides this unpleasant aroma there is also some grainy smell. The taste is, as expected, sweet, although much sweeter as it should be, making it not really enjoyable. There is only a minimal amount of hoppy bitterness, but that's not enough to make this one really drinkable.

Appearance: I decided to serve this chilled in appropriate Pilsner style glassware. As you can see from the picture, a nice bone white head was produced from a moderate pour. The camera lighting does not do with color justice. It is actually a very nice polished gold with orange hues throughout.
Smell: As I stand to take the pictures, I can sense the European funk wafting from the glass. A closer smell reveals a grassy and flowery aroma.
Taste: bold sweet malts with a flash of raw grain and a twang of herbal malts in the back. It is actually quite flavorful for the typical Euro pale lager. The grain on the palate is rather appealing to me. The flavor profile does wan as it warms up though leaving an undercooked bread dough quality.

The beer is clear yellow straw, a quickly settling white head, little lacing and medium curtains.
Smelling of grain, boiled vegetables and a dash of lemon.
Sweet white bread, lemon marmalade, corn flakes, boiled carrots.
Medium high carbonation, slightly sticky, medium body a dry finish.
A so-so euro pale lager, could have been from any European larger lager brewery.

A: The beer is clear golden yellow in color and has a moderate amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a thin white head that died down but consistently left a thin layer of bubbles covering the surface.
S: There are light aromas of grainy malts, skunkiness and grassy hops in the nose.
T: The taste is very similar to the smell but the skunkiness is not as noticeable. There is also a light amount of bitterness from the hops.
M: It feels a bit more than light-bodied on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer is actually pretty good compared to some of the mass-produced American lagers and it’s difficult to detect any adjunct malts in the smell or taste. The skunk in the aroma and taste is somewhat of a setback, but this could be attributable to the green bottle and/or voyage across the Atlantic.

Picked up a 500ml bottle from EuroMarket in Astoria for $2.25. There was a hint of skunk (thanks green glass), but otherwise it reminded me of a basic Czech pilsner. It's not strong but there is a distinct, cleaner than most pale lagers, toasty malt. As the beer warmed, a mild herbal citrus hop note kicked in for the aftertaste. The body was medium weight, crisp, and with a light sweetness.

The colour is gold (7 EBC), the liquid is clear. The firm two-finger head is pale off-white. No lacing.
The smell is a bit frowsy, but I notice stronger clean bitter flavours than I had expected. Some barley cereals and malt sweetness.
The taste is very sweet with flowery notes, quite a lot of dough. The aftertaste brings some cleaner, almost metallic bitter flavours and even more sweetness.
The carbonation is quite strong. Large sharp bubbles. The liquid is a bit sticky.
Clean, simple and straightforward. And very sweet.

A: Pours golden with a large quickly sinking white head that sizzels a lot, sounds quite agressive. No lace at all.
S: Grainy sweet malt, and some corn. Bitter hops. Faint citric notes. Perhaps some boiled vegetables.
T: Sweet malt, the corn is way in the back. Kind of creamy/buttery - grainy. Bitter hops.
M: Aftertaste is short and holds mostly sweetness. Body is meidum and carbonation rich, and agressive.
O: This is a standard Euro Pale Lager, nothing more, nothing less.

Zhiguli Bar is a good sample of russian beer.
Pours deep golden with monolithic white head, leaving some nice laces. Well-balanced nose, rather crisp, sweet malts and even a bit hop. Taste isn't outastanding, generally malty with pretty bitter hop finish. All in all it's much better than other russian macrocrap.

It has nice looks, copying the Soviet style label, one of the nicest bottle designs I have seen lately.
Pours pale yellowish with lots of small carbonation bubbles, thick and creamu white head with rather good retention. Aroma is sweet malt, reminds of veggies.
Taste is disappointing sweet malty and it seems it has some rubbery metallic notes, weak herbal hops in the finish. Mouthfeel is light with lots of carbonation at first, but it is gone within seconds.
I like the presentation, but the beer itself is not tasty at all.
