12 oz. can poured into Willibecher
A- Straw colored a bit hazy. Head is white, dense, but retains poorly. Not really much lacing, but rather a bit of residue around the glass.
S- Grainy, spent grain. Grassy. Slightly fruity notes, and very faint citrus.
T- Faint grainy and fruit notes. Not citrus. Rather bland in flavor.
M- Body is light. Fairly clean throughout, though finishes with a lingering earthy-hop bitterness.
O- Pretty bland overall. Probably what you get with using a wild hop variety. Though I believe it could have been showcased a bit better.

Poured into an Irish-Style pint glass.
The beer gushed out of each can, and once poured into the glass was nothing but foamy head from top to bottom, so carbonation issues, or what?
The beer, once settled and fully poured in the glass is a hazy opaque tanned straw yellow with a white head that needless to say, is like sea foam. Head retention leaves a dollop of white foam with large patches of lacing remaining on the glass.
The aroma is very bright, citrusy, and fresh. Lemon peel zest, tangerine, and zesty white pepper spiciness abound. The taste is a bit flat, and that’s why I wonder about the abundant over-carbonation. There is more of a bitter grapefruit flesh and cedar wood flavor on the palate. The finish is bitter, dry, and oddly metallic.
The mouthfeel is medium bodied and dry.
Overall, if the rest of the attributes were as solid as the aroma, this would be a great beer. As it is, it’s a bit confusing. Maybe I’ll try another 6 pack some other time to see if it explodes too.

Hazy golden colour with light head and no lacing.
Flavors are bright, exceptionally so even. Grapefruit bombs and pine shrapnel assault taste buds. Malts float in following the hops assault, providing ground coverage in the form of sweet malts. Carbonation is abundant but not harsh.
Pretty darn good.

Smell is ridiculously good. Juicy fruit like mango and tangerine are dominant. Taste is more piney and tarter fruit- kind of like hallertau blanc hops and other newer New Zealand style hops. Finish is medium bitter that lingers. Nice malt. High carbonation gives it a seltzer water few. Overall, pretty damn good but not elite beer.

CAN
Towering loose white cap over hazy platinum. 3.75
Big lemon rind with some earth and leaf. 4
Whisper of saltines, some graininess, then grapefruit, herbal edge, and some soil. 3.75
Red grapefruit zest finish and lemon balm linger.
Halfway to medium, oil, round. 4
Nice nose - citrus but funk and oil. Coats the tongue on the finish. Enough to get me interested in NeoMex. 4

12 ounce can into pint glass, no can dating. Pours moderately hazy/cloudy deep golden yellow color with a 2 finger dense and rocky off white head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice dense soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a good amount of streaming carbonation retaining the head. Aromas of big grapefruit, tangerine, lemon zest, orange peel, apricot, mango, honeydew melon, light pepper, pine, honey, toasted bread, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of bright/dank citrus/tropical/earthy hops and moderate bready malt notes; with good strength. Taste of big grapefruit, tangerine, lemon zest, orange peel, apricot, mango, honeydew melon, light pepper, pine, honey, toasted bread, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Good amount of pine/herbal/spicy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of grapefruit, tangerine, apricot, mango, melon, lemon/orange peel, pepper, pine, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice complexity, robustness, and balance of bright/dank citrus/tropical/earthy hops and moderate bready malt flavors; with a nice malt/bitterness balance with no astringent hop flavors after the finish. Good amount of dryness from bitterness as well. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately sticky/resinous, and lightly creamy/bready mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is a very nice pale ale. All around good robustness, complexity, and balance of bright/dank citrus/tropical/earthy hops and moderate bready malt flavors; and very smooth and easy to drink. A very enjoyable offering.
