16 ounce pint - $5.50 at Taco Mac in Woodstock, Georgia.

Appearance: Amber-brown body with good clarity underneath a slim, whitish head.

Smell: Baloney aroma fr--wait, baloney?! That's a first for me.

Taste: A little sugar on the tip of the tongue, some weak toasty, grainy notes, and, then, an odd, uncomfortable taste of stale baloney kicks in. I've come across some whacky, wild flavors in beer, but never this. Never. I'm lost as to how they managed this.

Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium-light carbonation. Slight tongue-coating quality to the mouthfeel.

Overall: You know, it's always nice to see a new, up-and-coming brewery, but with so many breweries on the playing field and more coming each and every day, CBC really needs to step it up (and fast).

As off and raunchy as this brew is, I'm not entirely sure what style to categorize it as. I'll let it land here until they assign a Baloney Beer option.

On tap at the brewery. IBU = 35.

This is a malty, lightly bitter-sweet bock a touch of hops that come to the forefront in the aftertaste. Hints of toffee and baked brown bread.

O: a fine looking and tasty bock with plenty of malt flavor. A particularly fine choice with food.

On tap at Dalton. Pours light brown with white head and nice lacing. Aroma is of caramel and hint of hops. Body is medium and smooth. Taste is of caramel malt, some coffee and herbal hops. Finish is long, sweet first then becomes dry. OK brew.

On tap into a Shaker Pint. It was crystal clear and amber-orange. A thin off white head with minimal foam or lacing. Sweet malt on the nose. Subtle spice and pumpkin. The taste was very similar. A really pleasant spicy quality to the malt. Clean lager with no yeast or off flavors. A mild floral hop bitterness. Medium bodied.

I only tried this beer but it was good. Seeing previous reviews I may be too generous in my review but one, I tried it at the brewery and not a restaurant so I don't know if that maybe helped the taste. It's a small brewery so give it some time and they'll be good.
