This is basically a fully outdoor bar on the lake, with a nice view of the sunset on a good day. It's a little tricky to find, parking is down the street in a grass field and you walk down past the cottages and suddenly there it is. Probably 30 patio tables in the grass with Leinies and Stella umbrellas, a makeshift outdoor bar with an old frigidaire kegerator only pouring margaritas. No tap beers, just a bunch of macros, Spotted Cow, Moon Man, Leinies x5, Ayinger, and the 2 new contract-brewed Door Co. Brewing beers. There was a wait for a table on a weeknight, lots of kids running around on the beach and older folks. Family friendly I guess, not what I had expected (more Margaritaville-esque somehow) but it was ok. No music, kind of loud from the kids and crowd noise in general. Weak beer selection. Good service despite the crowds, the food was adequate, burgers and sandwiches mostly with a few vegetarian options. The whitefish pâté and sweet potato fries were good. Overall a nice place to see the sunset, but a poor beer selection that's changed little in 3 years apparently.

This is another place I added when I visited last summer. I apologize that it took me forever to get around to reviewing it! Like I said in the Husby's review, I couldn't find much on the BA directory in Door County so I added a couple that I think are worth while.

Let me start by saying I went to this place three times out of the three days I was in Door County. My parents recommended it and we loved it so much, we went back every day! It isn't necessarily for the beer, but for the atmosphere especially in late afternoon/early evening. Picture this:
Expansive secluded rocky bay of crystal clear water surrounded by large old trees with perfect view of the sun setting over the Bay of Green. Picnic tables well-spaced, placed on the grass just above the rocky shoreline. Seriously, does a better place for happy hour exist? I think not!

Quality was quite good. Beer was fresh, food was very decent for what it was.

Prompt friendly service with a smile.

The beer selection wasn't incredible, but they did have two New Glarus offerings, Capital brewery Washington Island Wheat, Lenie's, and Ayinger Bavarian wheat. For this area that selection is very decent.

The food was good. I had the BBQ pork sandwich and I thought it was very good. The fried stuff from the appetizer menu was as good as anywhere.

The prices are a little on the high side for the area and for what it is, but the atmosphere more than makes up for it.

Highly recommend!
