Day #1 of the 2017 12 Days of Milkshake Stout – More roasted notes than the the original Milkshake Stout™ followed by sweet toasted marshmallow. Medium to full-bodied with no booziness. Toasted Marshmallow is a well balanced beer fit for any bon fire with no open flame or pointy sticks required.

Pours a brown black in color with a nice thumb and a half of off white head. Breaks rather quick, but leaves a nice cap and collar. Sparse lacing.
Smell is really quite nice. A big burst of vanilla, along with a touch of coconut. Then comes the chocolate, nice and bitter. Some roasts are also there.
Taste follows the nose nicely, however I find the vanilla is tamed a bit. The cocoa is really nice though. These two flavors work well together.
The feel is a little light, which is a bit of downer for this beer. The carbonation is good and the vanilla and chocolate linger on.
Quite a nice dessert beer. I will it was a little fuller, but that is my only real complaint. Worth a try, especially after a meal on a cool night.

16 ounce can, date stamp on the bottom of the can says 07/19/23 but I think that's the best before date since this was a late 2022 release from the Milkshake Stout box. Served in a Spiegelau stout glass, the beer pours dark brown/black with about an inch or so tan head that stayed around a little while. Small amount of lacing. The brew smells like roasted malt, marshmallows, cocoa, cream and a bit of dark breadiness. Taste pretty much follows the aroma, but there's also some caramel and smokiness in the flavor noticeable too. Mouthfeel/body is medium, it's a bit creamy and coating with a moderate amount of carbonation. Easy enough to drink. I liked this one, kinda S'mores like but without the graham cracker flavor. Nice sweeter tasting stout, worth a try if you get the chance.

I got a can of this beer from a mixed stout holiday 12pck that I bought from my local meijer store. It poured an opaque dark with tan head that dissipated quickly and left no lace. The scent had wonderful toasted marshmallow notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with dark chocolate malt base and Toasted oats and vanilla presence. The mouthfeel was lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall it is a great beer.

Pours a dark brown color with a minimal head that disappears quickly. Aroma of roasted malts and sweet chocolate. Tastes of sweet marshmallow and dark chocolate. Smooth and creamy.

473 ml can served at cellar temperature into a pint glass. Beer 4 of 6 from this mixed pack.
Appearance - very dark chestnut brown with two fingers of light tan head that fizzle off inside two minutes. Minimal lacing.
Smell- marshmallow, graham cracker and some milk chocolate. Very sweet with no other discernible aromas. Quite intense.
Taste - not as robust as the aroma. Hints of dark chocolate, sweet vanilla, marshmallow and subtle caramel as well as a very solid graham cracker base.
Mouthfeel - thin and a bit watery, but also slick. Carbonation is pretty low.
Overall - another gimmicky flavoured stout, this is probably the easiest to drink and least gimmicky of the bunch as the graham crackery bits do bring some balance to this brew. Quite good for what it is.

Dark walnut brew with a big head that settles to nothing pretty quickly. Nose reminds me of a coffee liqueur. A sweet stout with lots of chocolate and coffee flavours happening. The marshmallows lend a lot of roastiness and sweetness but don't stand out by themselves. Makes for a decent beer overall, not as hard edged as some other stouts, and probably for the dessert minded. A better rendition than the chocolate cheesecake version.

just an absolutely amazing stout. Its so sweet and aromatic, like smelling a roomful of fresh coffee in a boutique. The flavor is almost exactly like the smell, sweet, sweet toasted malts and 'the way coffee smells' but as a taste. Thin head, which is very sweet and disappears quickly. All in all this is a fantastic experience, and I'd say its almost worth making the drive back north.
