Very dark brown with a light caramel head on top. Smells very sweet, hints of chocolate. Can taste the roasted malts with sugar added to it. Very creamy.

This didn't do it for me. Thin head that fell flat quickly. Decent chocolate taste that didn't linger too long but not as rich tasting as I would have expected with the name. Was expecting a sort of desert beer but maybe would go better with a chocolate desert. Have three cans left and they will probably sit in fridge for a while

A-Pours a dark brown. Thin, watery body is evident by the pour and how it rests in the glass. A condensed, creamy head with speckles of lacing.

S-Very dull. A bit off, too. Like powdered Ovaltine. Not much roast; not much of anything besides that suspicious powdery chocolate note.

T-The flavor is light but still manages to be unappealing. Powdery chocolate and lactose with a slight metallic twang.

M-Light but creamy. Body is too thin. Bubbles are mild.

O/D-Did not enjoy this one.

Poured from 16 oz. can into a pint glass.
A - Pours dark with a thin quickly disappearing head. Zero lacing on glass.
S - Light chocolate aroma but not a lot of aroma from this pour.
T - Initial chocolate with sweetness of a milk stout.
M - Thin mouthfeel. Not a bold stout but as a milk stout this is expected.
O - A thin bodied stout with not a lot to it. M Sweet Stout is not my choice of stouts though. This would be a good "style transition" beer.

Seriously dark brown with a dark tan head. Retention is weak, drops to a thin film in a minute. Leaves scattered lacing behind.
Smell is toast, cardboard, coffee.
Taste is toasted malt, cardboard, coffee, light vanilla. Decent but no more.
Medium body, light effervescence. Drying finish.

Thick, gooey, and black. Tan head is full and thick with good retention.

Nose is lacking. Hints of toffee, caramel, sweet malt, milk chocolate, lactose, and a light roasty quality. Just somewhat out there.

Sweet toffee and caramel malt. With a sour milk taste in the mid palate. Virtually no finish. Hints of vanilla and milk chocolate. A blueberry, black raspberry lingers as it warms up.

Mouthfeel is thin and week overall a beer that is just missing in all the right places.

Reviewed on 6/21/2010. On tap at the brewpub. Pours black with a small tan head. Aroma of bitter chocolate, roasted malt, smoked malt, and a hint of lactose. Flavor of lactose with bitter chocolate, also there is sort of an odd tartness. A decent stout but odd tasting and the lactose and chocolate malt flavors did not quite come together.
