Poured from the 500mL bottle into a pint glass, comes out honey colored with a subtle haze and a white head that stays. Smell is sweet, some fruit, maybe a hint of smoke at the most. Taste starts with a blast of fruity sweetness, bread, middle has some tartness and maybe more stone fruit. Finishes dry with a smoky finish, very similar to a wooden barrel, clean, crisp. Overall it's a nice beer, tastes like a lager, but maybe a hair too sweet and not smokey enough. Body felt heavy for the low ABV.

Amber pour with suspended particulate matter. Normal head volume, lacing and retention.

Light nose of mild smoke, a bit of sour funk and hints of malt and yeast. As it warms, floral and apple notes are present.

Heavy light body with a smooth texture. Nicely carbonated with a bit of effervescence in the middle and a fair burst in the finish.

The flavor profile is good, but rather weak. You get a little weak smoke, a little weak sour funk and a hint of balancing sweetness. As it warms, sour funk is the most prominent. The finish is semidry.

L: Pours cloudy amber crowned by a 1” sudsy white foam collar. Some cling.
S: Slight funk, light smoke, ripe fruit, light grains.
T: It’s a fairly dry drink with a little funk, sour, salt and smoke supported by light grains with some spiciness in the background.
F: Refreshing, light body with medium carbonation.
O: A light, refreshing, unique and interesting beer.

Appearance: Pours light yellow, dissipating head.

Aroma/Flavor: Medium smoke and light acidity. Some fruitiness and clove, maybe a hefeweizen yeast strain?

Mouthfeel: Medium-light bodied, some residual bar-be-que smoke.

Overall: This is one of those styles i'm not surprised died off.

500 mL bottle into weizen glass.

A: orange with hits of brown. hazy.

S: smells slightly acidic. dull acidity, not sharp like a American wild or Belgian sour. mild smokiness is an inviting complexity.

T: mild smokiness throughout the drink. wheat grainy flavor as well. the smokiness is more on the nose than the drink. mild acidity. even less as I drink more.

M: the wheat builds a nice body on a very light beer. appreciated texture.

D: definitely a gratzer. the smoky wheat flavor is good and has a nice complexity to it. wouldn't hate for more acidity, but happy about the smoke.

Bottle from Prost! Boise. Pours out a hazy golden with small creamy head. Aroma is slightly funky, musty, yeasty, taste brings some of the salt, without being too puckering. Quenching, tasty, crisp, clean. Nice hot day drinker.

24k gold liquid sitting under a small head of foam.

Big fruity tartness with a bit of smoke in the smell.

Taste wise, again, delightful fruity tartness backed by a very mild amount of smoke. Fairly subtle flavours which makes this a very easy drinker.

Light bodied.

Nice historical brew!
