I didn't get any background info on this brew, so if you have it please feel free to add/correct. Served in straight pint pint glass. Poured a clean, clear medium gold color with under an inch of white head that had OK retention and lacing.

There is certainly a noticeable whiskey aroma (I'm not sure what style, perhaps Irish, maybe Rye?) and it just about covers up all the beer scents. Some malt and grain does show through however, but no hop notes. On the tongue the beer came through a bit more but still had to compete with the booze tones (BTW, that'd be a great band name, The BoozeTones).

The body was nice and solid without being heavy. Drinkability was OK, I'm not sure I'll more than 1 in a row, but I'll certainly have it again while the keg lasts. Overall, a nice beer. Perhaps a bit less time in the barrel, so that the flavors compliment each other better. Certainly worth trying if you see it.
