Fairly clear brownish amber with a tall tan head that drops pretty quickly, leaving some scattered lacing. Aroma is thick with fruit and caramel sweetness. Maybe some faint hints of chocolate. Plenty of dark ripe fruit notes mixed with some caramel malt. Not really cloying though sweetness was its main attribute but nice and fruity. Finishes as expected with some smooth sweet fruit. Thick enough body and plenty drinkable. Solid all around Doppelbock.

Growler filled at the brewery.
Poured into an imperial pint glass, formed a 1/2" tan head over a clear dark copper brew. Head fades down to a swirly layer of small bubbles, with plentiful sticky lacing. Aroma is fruity sweet malts. Taste is quick grain sweet upfront, with a cherry fruitiness dominating the middle, and a lightly alcohol close. Mouthfeel is smooth, and drinkability is nice for the style as well. Could use a bit more carbonation perhaps, but we'll chalk that up to my presentation. Nice Dbock here.
