It is so cool to have gone on vacation in Martha's Vinyard and for there to be a brewpub right there on the island.

First off, the good. I tried 2 beers. Both were very nice. The stout was smooth and creamy with a pleasant roasted taste. I also enjoyed "the Goddess," a cloudy, amber colored, hopped Belgian inspired beer. It was very good.

On tap, they had several others available, including an IPA, Amber, blueberry and I am sure I am missing 1 or 2 others. The Amber and IPA are their apparent flagship beers. Offshore bottles these 2 beers, using a 3rd party from the mainland.

The food was decent. Not a giant menu. They serve peanuts and the shells are tossed on the ground. Although no one actually served us the peanuts.

There is a nautical theme...2 boats hang overhead...other assorted items are on the walls.

The bad...well, not really bad....but, the bar is quite small...there are maybe 7 seats. The dining area is not tiny, but relatively small and compact. The menu was okay. The chunks of clam in my chowder were a bit too large.
Also, no sampler is available. This is honestly the first brewpub I have ever been to that does not serve a beer sampler. (You can ask to try to taste a beer, though, before you order it)

Overall, though, beer lovers need to visit here when you are on the island. Just don't expect to get a seat at the bar. The dining area is not large (although they do have some outdoot seating).

The beers were fresh and tasty. The food, a tad pricing but not outrageous for island prices...when asking for a beer, for a $2.95 additional charge, you can get a logo pint (for the collectors out there like me). T-shirts are also available at the front counter.

Older looking wood building. Even during the off season (October) on a Sunday, the place is rather busy.

The food is typical pub like food but it's also pretty good. The service was friendly, informal and unassuming.

There are nine beers on tap today ranging from extra light to a dry stout. They're all on the better than-average side, but not spectacular.

Went there on a weekend during the first week of fall. The place had a ton of tourists, which was expected considering it was on a weekend at Martha's Vineyard. Quite packed and was a bit difficult to hear. Peanut shelves everywhere. Quality of the place was nice. A lot of it was decorated with fishing and 'sea' themed items (fishing nets, rods, boats, paddles, etc) and it definitely had that kind of a feel to it. Service was prompt and friendly, although I think the staff was a bit overwhelmed due to the crowd. Selection of beer wasn't overwhelming but I also didn't have a chance to try a large assortment. The one beer I had Islander Double, was a solid DIPA offering.

Overall, I'd recommend this place if you are visiting Martha's Vineyard and would like to try some local beer at a local brewery. Otherwise, I wouldn't necessarily go out of my way for a visit.

All beers brewed on the premises, which is amazing, given how busy the establishment is. A 2pm tour is offered Wed to Sat in summer (2015 - $10 gets a tasting, tour, and a glass). Food is very good, standard pub fare. Very busy all summer, every day, all day. Try the Lazy Frog IPA, or, when available, the Hop Goddess Belgian--growlers at reasonable prices.

Probably my favorite brew pub in the world. Super friendly staff, live music every day. Awesome beer. Their pizza kicks ass, brick oven, crispy delicious. Their best beer IMO is Hop Goddess and it is always fresh and on tap. Grab a growler before you leave the island!

My favorite place to get craft beer on the island. Forget any of the package stores or any other place which serves beer, this is the real deal for craft beer on MVY. When I visit I try to get here as often as I can whether for a pint or two or to fill up a growler to take back. There is usually a great variety of beers to choose from. I definitely recommend Hop Goddess if it's on the board. Great location in OB. Peanuts for ever and great food to boot. Staff is always friendly as well. There is really no other reason to go anywhere else for your craft beer needs while on the island.

Great beers and great food. The flatbread pizzas out of the brick oven are fantastic and worth the wait; the toasted raviolis are also a personal favorite. With about eight beers on tap, there's always more than enough to try and even more to bring home in the growler. Plus -- all the peanuts you can eat while you wait.

Would highly suggest a tour too if you have time to kill -- they're by appointment, but just call and set something up (think they usually post the hours on the website for this).
